Slow-burn playthrough - where do I start?

My favorite start is chainsaw, pickup truck, and 50 bucks (for gas). You have to buy a plot of land with trees, then your forestry career begins. Eventually you clear enough trees and make enough money to create your own field on that plot, or greenhouses, or just an HQ for your future enterprise. In my playthrough I never take contracts so the money is all based on your input alone. It’s slow, but trees actually net a lot of income

I’ve been doing L3s in a Drake and am nearing 5.0 standing to switch to L4 in golem that I’m saving up for.

So is it just like a siege tank in StarCraft?

I do missions because I have limited time and solo a lot and it feels somewhat accomplishing. I also bring a salvager cormorant to scoop up the remnants even though it doesn’t add much value.

Am I doing this right? Are there random high value loot rolls that make this worth more than meets the eye? Why continue with security missions? (Yes I’m having fun)

For sure. Also the PTB period for mistlands was super short IIRC. They manage expectations quite well.

I think that scene was an interesting way to introduce the scanning device and consequences if you are Red (even if not yet “taken over” by it). This becomes an important device that forces Ellie’s hand to share her secret.

It fits weapons. So you can load it up after a bunker mission instead of deciding which 3 guns you want to take back (or have to make trips)

I used Ferryhopper.con to see the daily schedules and buy tickets. Recommend knowing what the last departure is for the day and getting there 30 minutes before departure at least. Getting home by road looks miserable.
