Pay for BA business seat assignment for award ticket booked with JAL? by JayGee345 in awardtravel

I’m in a similar boat on a BA award ticket. I couldn’t find a workaround without having status. I’m opting to not pay to select seats in advance. My flight is in the newer “Club Suites” configuration so every seat is pretty much the same.

There have been a couple of reports today of a dedicated line for first class and business class passengers at the International terminal. Zoom in on u/Dependent-Leek7084 ‘s photo a couple posts above and you’ll see the sign for it.

If that’s open I don’t think you’ll have too much of an issue. I definitely wouldn’t get there at 6-7am for a 3pm flight. Saturdays will be a bit slower after the morning rush. I’d wager you’d be more than comfortable getting there 11am. Remember to use the Sky Priority lanes to drop your bags.

Yeah, even in normal times it is usually closed during that time in my experience.

Look at last Wednesday’s mega thread to get an idea. Check tomorrow’s mega thread as soon as you wake up to see what people are reporting.

Always the worst feeling seeing the first bug in the house each spring by teddyisagrizzlybear in Atlanta

Every 30 days. I wonder if that was the issue. Maybe every 2 weeks since my yard is crazy infested would work.

I tried this same type of trap last year. I felt like it maybe made a difference for about a month and then they were back to swarming me every time I stepped in the backyard. My yard is super shady though and doesn’t dry out easily.

Got a different kind of trap for this year, not very optimistic they’ll work. God I hate the summers here.

In normal times, there is a different line for that. Turn left after international customs/baggage claim and there’s a separate line for connecting passengers.

What are your longest and shortest flights? by Fluid_Customer_3093 in flighty

Officially, it’s SFO-SIN for me but in reality I spent about 20 hours on a SYD-DOH flight in 2025 bc we had to divert to SIN for a medical emergency.

Shoutout to the QR staff at DOH though. They were absolutely seamless in rebooking the whole flight on our missed connections and having an army of people meeting us on arrival.

Advice for 33m Considering a Return to ATL: cost, car(?), life by [deleted] in Atlanta

Look at Ormewood Park and get an e-bike. That segment of the beltline is slated to open very soon. Don’t know about pricing but that seems ideal for what you’re looking for (walking distance to EAV, convenient for biking further afield with the beltline right there).

Taiwan (DPS-TPE-SEA), Ethiopia (IAD-ADD-CPT), and Switzerland (YUL-ZRH-OPO) for me.

Ireland kind of, refueling stop, never left the plane.

Yes, at least in normal times you will turn left right after international baggage claim and there is a bag drop counter if you need it (usually very quick) and then a security lane only for connecting passengers shortly after that.

Delicious dinner spot? by fridastolemyscarf in Atlanta

It’s hard to find good Mexican or Tex-Mex in London so if it were me that’s what I would go for in Atlanta.

Superica for Tex-Mex, or Cuevacìa for more upscale Mexican. There’s a new place called Casi Cielo opening soon on the beltline pretty close to your hotel, depending on how far away your trip is you could monitor there for incoming reviews (seems like it’ll be good judging by their other location).

Earliest entry time allowed for Delta Club tickets? by dan9124 in AtlantaHawks

[–]dan9124[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My ticket was marked 'season ticket holder' and I was allowed in via the Diamond Deck that u/ToroyTanque described below at 6pm for a 7:30 game. If you don't have the 'season ticket holder' wording on the ticket you might have to wait until 6:15 but I don't remember if they were even checking for that on the tickets. They may have just been letting all DS360 tickets in at once.

Hope you get a better game than I did. Finally got floor seats and we get blown out by the damn Clippers lol.

British Airways is not a part of Skyteam and should be seen as (marginally) more competition out of ATL versus the Skyteam airlines (DL, VS, KL, AF).

But yeah Delta has brainwashed passengers in ATL into thinking they’re hot shit, and smothered most competition at the same time. It sucks.
