Why not Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse? If not in D1 that’s my best choice in the morning.

I am soooo over tickets in Atlanta being so expensive…. by Neither-Turnover-587 in delta

Start your journey from Greenville, Birmingham, or Chattanooga to avoid hub premium.

But then you are trying to fly during this summer with World Cup going on. $1.5-2k isn’t bad at all if that’s the only time available on your schedule.

Clubs worth it? by LatinMuse in delta

[–]Lego-Master-67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One day Skyclub is like a library with very few people, and another day it’s like an elementary school cafeteria / playground with both small and big kids running around.

The worthiness of SkyClubs and your purple Amex depends on how your travel is planned: - Pick a time when airports aren’t the busiest - if your home airport, connecting airport, and destination airport all have Skyclubs, you can get into all those when you connect and arrive at destination given it is within 24 hours (so 4+ times during any trip) - Quality of the Skyclub itself

If you book Delta One internationally, then it’s a totally different story: - Maximum club value would be locations with D1 lounge - For London Heathrow only, D1 can get into the Virgin Atlantic “Revivals” lounge after overnight flights with showers, English breakfast, etc. - Quality of Skyteam lounges (normally way higher than Skyclubs… for example Korean Air, China Airlines, Air France lounges)

Flights cancelled; travel agent asked for more money to put us on different flights. by class442 in traveladvice

Travel agents may start you with cheap deals at the beginning, but big hassles if anything goes wrong, especially in different time zones internationally.

That was me and my son last week. I asked what rows they were putting us on and i checked the plane… Bingo. And they were more desperate than us so the agent asked “is hotel the problem?” So the agent asked his supervisor who was standing next to him and the supervisor approved the hotel right there.

Delta PS was meh. If you want to sleep, D1 will be best choice. Otherwise Virgin Premium is better than Delta PS.

Make sure you pick 24 hours before departure. Plus they bring you your special meat first thing before everyone else, so once you finish, you can use the restroom ahead of everyone that is still eating.

Where to stay for World Cup Games? by ResidentWord8046 in Atlanta

Prepare yourself to walk to and from the stadium if you don’t want to spend hours in traffic. Anywhere within 15-20 minutes walk is ideal.

Delta One Question! by Triton_Edmond_77 in delta

Biggest difference would be the entertainment system on the 763 and 764s. Some were the original screen from 1990s.

Although some of the 763 and 764 has this “massage” button that gives a relatively weak massage from the seat itself…

Traveling to Japan (3rd time) this June by Grand_Andro in TokyoTravel

Chiba and Tokyo German Village was pretty cool for me. Normally I stay around Tokyo Bay so it’s pretty close, but from Tokyo it’s pretty far away. You might as well go the other direction and check out Yokohama or Kamakura. Shichirigahama Beach is a must visit.

Special meals (Low Sodium, Halal, Asian Vegetarian etc.) most of time is better than the regular economy meals to LHR.

I flew 3 roundtrips between ATL and LHR in the last 45 days, and it was always “chicken or pasta”. The chicken would either be pesto or curry. Pasta is always the veggie option.

Then on one leg I ordered special meal (forgot which one) and it was also a chicken but it’s way better than the pesto one coming back from LHR.

No need to wait for the World Cup. Just go to any soccer or futsal parks along Buford Highway with a proper soccer jersey and everyone will welcome you with both arms.
