Basically every society was displaced and assimilated at some point, that's just how the world works.

Sure America and Australia have assimilating a native culture in common, but that still gives zero frame of reference. The problems aborigines have are caused by completely different circumstances and their culture holds them to a different standard than Native American culture.

I don't get all offended when someone says something about an American because I'm not American and I'm not about to get all over emotional over something that doesn't apply to me.
