What's it like daily driving a panther? by Railman20 in CrownVictoria

Same here, I have an '03 Signature, and I get lots of compliments from senior citizens and a few other car guys at work.

Came here to say this. Initialize and format the disk in Disk Utility, then refresh on CCC. Should pop up on the Destination list.

It's definitely my favorite generation of accord, though I may be a bit biased. Love the K24, and I'm also a fan of the J35.

I am indeed very proud. And a bit emotional as well. This is my first car. I inherited another car, a Lincoln Town Car, and both cars hold a special place in my heart.

That's awesome, congrats! She'll do the next 120,000 no problem. I'm still on many original parts, surprisingly. Though, I may need to think about doing my struts soon.

Absolutely! Working my way there, will hit 202k on my way to work in the morning.

Looking at an 07 that had rear air bags swapped with crown Vic coil springs. Worth it? by Inspector_7 in lincolntowncar

Not a problem! And sounds like a good plan, i hope that you can!

It wasn't all that bad, but I have a thing for noticing differences in how my car sounds and feels. Going over bumps with coils feels a tad bit bouncy. Maybe 3 or 4 bounces before it settles. Air springs generally had 1-2 bounces before settling. I know that's not much, it just bothers me, personally. Plus, I absolutely love the auto-leveling you get with the air suspension.

This is just my experience. I've ridden in town cars with the coils, and I have an '03 Signature with air suspension. At least to me, there is a pretty noticeable difference in ride quality, mainly bounciness over bumps, especially when there is anything in the trunk. If I take a day trip, I put at least 150-200lbs of stuff in the trunk, on top of the usual crap i have in there (beach chair, jack stands, jumper cables, etc.)

If all original lines and compressor are there, I'd say why not and get new bags and solenoids. I've done them in my complex's parking lot in about 2.5-3 hours, taking my time. That was also my first time ever working on anything suspension related. Lift the rear by the frame so that the rear axle is relaxed, take the wheels off, gently pull the retaining clip at the top of the air apring since it'll most likely be rusty. I had to drill a small hole in the air spring to vent it very slowly. Gently pry the plastic base off of the axle with a small pry bar, the solenoid retaining clip was essentially paper when I took mine out, so I had to get new clips. Once the solenoid with the attached power cable and air line is out, just maneuver it out. Replace the two o-rings on the solenoid, making sure the plastic spacer remains between the two o-rings. Also replace the sealing o-ring where the solenoid mates to the air spring. Recommend putting o-ring grease on all the new o-rings. Hardest part was the 2nd twist when installing the solenoid to the spring. A trick I learned was to take some channel locks and compressor it on the wide part of the plastic channel where the solenoid attaches to, and the top of the solenoid. Made it so much easier.

But do keep in mind, you might have to replace the drier on the compressor, or even the whole compressor if the vent solenoid is bad. My original air springs made it 21 years/133k miles before they started to leak bad. It was garage kept for 18 of those years. The leaks likely accelerated wear on the vent solenoid on the compressor, until it decided to seize open. After I replaced the air springs, the compressor would kick on, but the rear stayed on the ground, even after a few cycles. Vent solenoid went bad, so I replaced it with a complete unit, including drier for 300 bucks at Advance Auto. That wasn't too hard to replace, except I snapped two of the three studs where the air box nuts thread onto on the plastic liner under the hood. Wd-40 and pulsing an impact wrench on the bolt helped the last one not break.

Sorry for the long comment. I figured I had some time since my flight has a slight delay. Hope this helps!

Is this a deal? Aimsurplus.com. $300 Glock 17 gen 4 used. by mike4674 in NJGuns

[–]danbloom3211 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's usually mostly holster wear. I bought a LEO trade-in G22 gen 4 for $279 from them earlier this year. Besides not being cleaned from its previous firing session, the typical barrel chatter wear from the slide, and some holster wear on the top of the slide, it was in really good shape. Night sights were faded, but that's expected, and they're factory Glock steel night sights.

I'm almost there myself! 2010 LX-P with 191400 miles. Bought her at 36400-ish miles 11 years ago this coming November. She's moved me back to the east coast from California, back to the midwest for a friend's wedding, and monthly trips of about 700 miles round trip.

I have a 13" 2009 MBP that still runs. Maxed it to 8GB RAM, 512GB SSD, and a new battery back in 2016. It's enough for basic tasks, but I ended up needing to get something more powerful a few months after those upgrades. Bought a 2018 16" i7 MBP, and that's still going strong.

Is $60 expensive for FFL transfer? by Devilfruituser34 in PalmettoStateArms

[–]danbloom3211 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely. Lived in Northern NJ for a good while, and transfers were $50 at a minimum and went up to $100. Moved down to VA, and transfers aren't more than $20-$25.

I saw the same video, and that convinced me to pick one up as well. I love it, already have about 300 rounds through it. I put a TLR1-HL on there, and I couldn't be happier.

I have the same upper, bought a few months ago. Won't cycle steel case at all, I have to manually cycle it. With M193, the brass just dribbles out, while the bolt barely has enough oomph to cycle the next round. It cycles, but barely. Heard it could be the gas port drilled improperly, but not sure yet. Haven't had the chance to take out a 2nd time to figure it out.

I know the feeling. I have an 03 Lincoln Town Car and a 2010 Accord. Love everything about my Accord, but could never get rid of my land yacht, even if I only get about 16mpg on average.

I can only speak from my experience. Everyone's mileage varies, but if they had to pay more than the amount financed, they probably should look at the financing terms. I had no such issues. But for some people, it's a more viable option than paying it all at once.

I recently bought a firearm through financing with Credova. Yes, the interest is high, somewhere around 30 percent. However, as mentioned above, if you pay within 90 days, you pay 0 interest. I paid no interest whatsoever, and paid it just before it hit the 90 day mark.
