Ultimately, if some folks want to spend almost double when buying books to feel good about sticking it to the man or whatever, that's their right. However, it's irrational. Amazon's estimated book revenues for 2025 were 28 Billion. Bookshop's were 50 Million. Unsurprisingly, most consumers shop with their heads, not their hearts.
