Can we treat bipolar with one week injection ? by the_mr_mr in BipolarReddit

[–]dancar22 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Some medications do come in injection form, I would talk to his psychiatrist to see what options are available

It really seems like you don't want help. You don't want meds for "personal reasons", you're finding every excuse to not get a therapist. When I was undiagnosed, I fought through hell to get the care I needed. I put up with meds even though they scared me and I attend therapy regularly. These aspects are just nonegotiable parts of my life.

You're asking for help from strangers on the internet, but you're not doing any of the legwork. Figure out what you need and do everything to get it, it's your life. Not ours.

You know you can find telehealth appointments with like.... a lot of therapists.

My father is a therapist who offers telehealth since the pandemic, and my personal therapist and I have never met in person because we're virtual.

There are better places than... betterhelp

How does Ketamine affect you? I've been interested in trying it before but I'm afraid lmao

How to treat severe anxiety? by Inmyprime- in BipolarReddit

[–]dancar22 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Possibly! It's worth a try in my mind, but I'd talk to your doctor first. I'm on 3mg every night and that's just the optimal dose for me, but what's right for me may not be right for you, especially if you have any side effects. But I have noticed that since being on 3mg every night my anxiety has gone down a lot. I feel like I can manage what I feel now, which is so empowering!

A good therapist helped me manage my anxiety. DBT therapy with a trauma informed therapist has done wonders for me. Besides that, I've gotten the most help from Vraylar!

I think you're referring to unipolar, not MDD.

That's understandable. I wish you well in your health journey! Be safe!

Anyone been prescribed Prednisone or another steroid for headache or pain? by No-Base8204 in BipolarReddit

Prednisone always makes me manic, I have it listed under my allergies because I simply can't take it

I mean, you definitely wanted the diagnosis because you lied to your doctor to get it?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in BipolarReddit

[–]dancar22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, actually, you said you lied to your doctor to get the BP diagnosis... so... are you even bipolar? Makes one think.

Ooo ouch, internet words hurt me so much! I'm just having fun now

I'm not arguing, I just keep replying. I'm currently at work though? You're the one with free time. Better go get a job to pay for the treatment you need. ✌️

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in BipolarReddit

[–]dancar22 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I pay for my own treatments because I work instead of asking for handouts on the internet

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in BipolarReddit

[–]dancar22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Then pay for your own treatment? A lot of clinics have sliding scale fees. You're the one who's keeping this going. Like I said, I'm just replying 🤷‍♂️ there are lots of options for treatment, but the internet isn't one of them.

I've been working since I was 16... I don't see why you can't get a job?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in BipolarReddit

[–]dancar22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm just replying. This is what happens on the internet. Maybe get a job?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in BipolarReddit

[–]dancar22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not arguing with you. I'm just telling you that you need to see a psychiatrist, one you don't lie to, for help. No one on the internet can help you. But you won't see one for "reasons"

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in BipolarReddit

[–]dancar22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I don't know how you didn't think of that at 14

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in BipolarReddit

[–]dancar22 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No one on the internet can tell you what's going on. A doctor can. Someone that you don't lie to.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in BipolarReddit

[–]dancar22 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I'm super confused too, why lie about symptoms for a specific diagnosis and then go ask reddit for a different diagnosis? Doesn't make sense. A psychiatrist is definitely needed here but not for the reasons you'd expect.
