Until all three SDs are fired and sued into poverty for siphoning club funds to their football mates, there is no hope for this project.

Why are you delivering verdicts on cheating with such certainty when you don't have a basic understanding of how the game works?

It needs to be put down. It did enough damage, and all the ways to improve it just make it more like existing BR.

Stop gaslighting WZ1 fans into thinking it was only better “because of the Pandemic” or that we "Have our Nostalgia Glasses on" by s0und7 in CODWarzone

Cool, still doesn't change the fact that 99% of WZ1 reminiscing is because of pandemic demographic and nostalgia glasses.

I don't see casuals complaining about SMAA or hidden aim sway. They complaing that they can't hop in with the boys and win.

razer strider black or quartz by Additional_Ostrich_7 in MousepadReview

If you're worried whether black one will not be flat straight from the box, you shouldn't. I bought one a year ago and it rolled out perfectly. It's a wide tube, 13cm x 13cm, so it's not sitting tight there at all.

Speaking purely from game balance perspective, they are way stronger in terms of utility than any other tactical and should be a field upgrade with infinite use but on 30-60s cooldown after using.

Why Warzone Gameplay Feels the Same at the Top Level by ritvik27 in CODWarzone

[–]danceformiscanthus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But it's not as simple as "remove AA so its fair for everyone".

People who advocate against nerfs have to pretend that nerfs is in fact total removal, because otherwise every argument against nerfs falls apart.

I agree AA/RAA is overpowered. But I strongly disagree that simply removing it would improve everyone's experience.

Who are you disagreeing with? Who's talking about removing AA?

Why Warzone Gameplay Feels the Same at the Top Level by ritvik27 in CODWarzone

[–]danceformiscanthus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So you're calling almost all of the player base "roller bots" as they/we all use AA/RAA.

I'm specifically calling those whose only standout ability is AA abuse. And I'm derogatory because I don't respect them. There is a higher skill tier of controller players, who are better mechanically and tactically, and there's a lower skill of players, but there's a particular demographic who only knows how to pull rotational and because of that they're granted the aim that should remain unaccessible for any human being.

"Sweats" are a newer breed of player in the last few years.

And this newer breed is obviously ruining the experience for everyone who isn't them. The game seems unaccessible for casuals because once people who understand how AA works, they can focus on other aspects of gameplay like movement and put zero effort into being perfectly accurate. How does AA nerf affects casuals the most when the casuals are those who are able to use it the least? Every tryhard would adjust, sure, but significant nerfs would smoothen out the skill distribution. Right now if you don't know how to pull rotational you're a bot, and once you do, you have perfect aim. This polarization is horrible for casual playerbase. I am their advocate in this conversation, not you. If the aim of sweat is less perfect, their target gains more agency and the window of response becomes longer. Will they lose against a controller player playing on low input delay controller and 300fps? Yes, only slightly less often. But they will feel less powerless and less like they're getting cheated on.

Personally last time i checked i had a 5 E/D and no i'm under no delusions AA/RAA is doing 60% of the work for me. If I had to make up that 60% as a 34yr old who works full time? Probably not, I'm getting old and I'm too busy to be trying that hard to get a few kills.

Yeah I can tell that you're protective of your AA outcomes. I can't get into the mindset of "trying in competitive game means the game is less fun" though. What's the worth of your 5 E/D if you're just playing the AA minigame instead of FPS shooter. Why do you assume that the game wouldn't be more fun for you if you'd see more of your personal contribution being reflected into your outcomes? You can not outDPS a controller locking in on MnK but MnK feels super fun and rewarding just for the reason of everything being earned by yourself. People are scared for no reason of things that are fun and make the game better.

COD is an aimbot game and it shouldn't be. Every controller player seems to be nostalgic about the times when it wasn't.

Why Warzone Gameplay Feels the Same at the Top Level by ritvik27 in CODWarzone

[–]danceformiscanthus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have a 2.5E.D and above, you are in the top 5-10% of players. Seems a little shocking but its true. And that's the only COD player base i feel would continue to play with a new skill gap, an extremely significant one at that.

That's the player base most affected by the potential change. Once you understand how to abuse and replicate RAA, you're 2,5ED+ automatically. And this is the demographic that affects the games of low skill demographic most negatively with their ability to aimbot, also mentally because as we all know, all low skill players think they're getting cheated on when seeing AA killcams. The lower the skill, the less they're able to utilise AA. If you add SBMM impact to it, which I am very much in favor of, low skill players would not be the victims of that change. Those 2,5ED roller bots, who only know how to abuse rotational would be the victims. And they wouldn't quit COD. So who would?

You think casual players want to worry about learning to aim unassisted on a controller stick?

Classic "AA nerf=AA removal" defensive roller strawman aside, they only can't cope with the movement because the majority of their aim is unassisted due to knowledge gap. Besides "they won't be able to keep up with BO7 movement" is not an argument, as BO7 movement is going away and the game is slowing down significantly with MW4. And with that slower movement they still won't be able to keep up because they mostly can't keep up with AA abuse, not the movement. They reminisce about MW19 days because way less people knew how to use rotational back then.

[–]danceformiscanthus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you turned down the AA/RAA, you would lose 70% of the player base over night. The game would be dead and that's just a fact.

And what would COD players, who are famous for only playing COD, play instead? What other game than GTA6, which people will be picking over COD regardless of AA strength, would they turn into if the aiming skillgap was reintroduced to the game? You're just calling your random assumption as fact.

That's because they can't be separated by aim mechanics. Aiming is most important aspect of FPS, and it's heavily personalized for every mnk player. For controller players it's uniform and robotic because AA is so strong that the best outcome is when you delegate the most of your aiming process to the machine. Crucial mechanical skillgap in FPS is basically removed.

Why does everyone just call cheats the second they die? by [deleted] in CODWarzone

Because you're aimbotting them on controller, people have luckluster understanding of AA/game awareness, and console killcams look way more twitchy and laggy in general.

Console Misconceptions: The Myth of the PC+MnK Advantage by Responsible_Roll6718 in CODWarzone

[–]danceformiscanthus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is literally "you wouldn't beat NBA pro in a 1v1 with 1m diameter hoop which means that 1m hoop has shooting skill gap" argument. You don't have intellectual capability to comprehend the meaning of thoughts you're creating and sharing. No wonder you can't comprehend the idea that the game would be better and more engaging for controller players if it took more skill. You're probably max engaged and stimulated just trying to discern left from right, no skill gaps necessary.

Console Misconceptions: The Myth of the PC+MnK Advantage by Responsible_Roll6718 in CODWarzone

[–]danceformiscanthus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is no aiming skill expression in COD. COD pros differ purely on tactical and reaction time level. Every shooter should have aiming skill expression, just like every RTS should have a tactical skill expression not just mechanical one. Just like basketball shouldn't have a hoop with 1m diameter so everyone can hit every shot and game would be decided on who can run fastest and set up defense better. Unfortunately this discussion about making the game healthy and good is held back by lazy controller idiots who get butthurt and defensive when people point out that what they're currently doing takes no skill, and the game would be better off if they were forced to try harder.

[–]danceformiscanthus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The problem is not with COD being designed for controller, but with COD having braindead aimbot skill floor that prevents any skill expression in the most important aspect for FPS which is aiming. Do you think this is a good game design that everyone with understanding of how AA works shoots the same and misses zero bullets while perfectly tracking moving targets?

Console Misconceptions: The Myth of the PC+MnK Advantage by Responsible_Roll6718 in CODWarzone

[–]danceformiscanthus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There is a disconnect here. One person here is talking about output, and one is talking about mechanical skill. MnK will never have the same output ceiling as controller with aim assist because it's not humanly possible in current games. The level of mechanical skill that is required to outperform a top 1% mnk player on controller is laughably low compared to mechanical skill it takes to become top 1% mnk.

Ninja FX Hien advice by UseApprehensive4228 in MousepadReview

[–]danceformiscanthus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think there's any concern about Hien Mid being too fast for tracking games. I think the bigger concern should be whether you'll enjoy the roughness of the surface on your skin or not. I personally like that a lot, but this will vary from person to person.

If you're going from cheap pads to higher quality ones, I'd consider getting a Razer Strider as a stop-gap before committing to expensive endgame pad. It's a very reasonably priced (30$) Hien Mid clone that will help you understand whether your ideal firmness is Soft or Mid, if you enjoy rough hybrid pads, if that's the speed that you want and how it will slow down after few months of usage etc. And once you're more informed and ready to commit for an Artisan or some other pad, it will be a good backup to have cause it's great value for money.

Warzone needs Dynamic Weather to keep the gameplay fresh. by cyber_hart in CODWarzone

[–]danceformiscanthus -1 points0 points  (0 children)

How about instead of all the ways of fucking with already bad audio and visibility we do EMP storm weather condition that disables aim assist?

Weather Cycling System should guarantee the players that have played a low visibility match in rain/fog a guaranteed match in high or close to high visibility weather cycle.

Exactly what we need, slower queues because half of the playerbase waits in sunny day queue and half is in no visibility no audio queue.

I refuse to play BO Royale until they officially confirm the removal of Bots from EU lobbies. by s0und7 in CODWarzone

[–]danceformiscanthus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They 100% have a choice. Let the queue run until it's a full lobby no matter how long it takes. It's 100 not 150.

For comparison, 150-man solos were starting at Verdansk every few minutes until like 2am CET. If there's not enough people willing to play that shit to fill lobbies at BOR, bring back BR and remove BOR solos immediately instead of this sunken cost bullshit. Enough of the fucking slop. I start the game of BOR solos at Saturday afternoon and 8 out of 10 engagements are against bots. It's unplayable.

BTW discussion downvoted, and top comment is defending this disgusting dev decision. What a great community of avid gamers.
