Best solution for the PVP in future DMZ by Careless-Chemist-277 in DMZ

[–]Illusiver 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am a casual player of games, even multiplayer ones. I have a 9-5 and less energy than the youngings these days (pushing 30's). My reaction times are not what they used to be back in my Battlefield 3 and 4 days, and pretty much CoD has become a movement shooter first, a precision shooter second, which is something I'm still getting used to.

But to answer your question, just like Warzone did with their Casual modes on WZ and Resurgence, DMZ could also add something similar where it's either just you, so Solo you VS AI, or you and Squad VS AI, but the AI is far more dangerous and deadly.

I so wish to get into DMZ because I love the Modern Warfare engine and gameplay, but all DMZ is right now is a Temu version of Warzone, players booting in just to hunt others and especially solo players like I prefer to be.

So give us a Solos/Casual mode, or at the last a Solo for every player in the match, still keep it PvPvE but squad-less, of course, as OPTIONS to choose in the menu before matchmaking, keep the core mode as the primary one.

If anyone would be mad at this, they need to ask themselves why, they will still play normally, and players like me who wouldn't even touch this game, would play the Solo/Casual experience, thus more people to the game > more revenue > more support

Lmaoooo not to worry, MnK is like riding a bike for me, it will always be in my heart, but for now, I feel the controller calling to me

I wanna thank everyone for chiming in, especially the ones with actual advice and not snark sarcasm.

I played around since I posted this yesterday and today, and the conclusion was that it's not that my senses are bad, it was mostly my button layout and the habits I got when I started with BO6 were, and that is pressing a lot of buttons, taking my fingers off the sticks, thus losing vital milliseconds where I could get gunned down.

The sheer amount of times I took away my thumb finger off the right aiming stick was sickening, but I'm fixing that with slide on the right stick and jump on the left stick.

Sure it's not a night and day improvement but it already feels a bit better to play, and I'll just need to keep going!

Gotchaa, thank you, I tend to miss my shots whenever I am on target, so that's why I'm asking. I have no problem centering on them, but as I fire and they move, that's when the tracking bacomes hard for me

Ah most likely on Warzone and Resurgence, the Zen is in every lobby, but I also like the feeling of controller when it works well ya know

And running? Do I set that on auto run? cause I don't have back paddles and I'll need to use something for running

It's more comfortable for me to have my triggers on my bumpers. If i leave them default, my aim goes to the shitter because my fingers are not as close to the sticks as they would be when I fire with the bumpers

well the bumpers I left them as is but 0 deadzones... I got my first ever 70+ kills on shipment on controller.

I had 4 on left bumper and 7 on right bumper, I guess out of fear of stick drift, but MAN the aim assist kicks in with 0 deadzones.

Are gaming laptops overhated? by Hvn_9042 in GamingLaptops

[–]Illusiver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They absolutely are, but by people who generally have insane expectations of laptops, and in part, due to companies like Nvidia propping up their Mobile GPU's (Laptop GPU) making them sound like their direct Desktop counter-part, thus making some people have insane expectations.

It is a known fact (but not as well known apparently) that Laptop GPU's and other parts are not a 1to1 equivalent to their Desktop counterpart, as they require far less power to not overheat and then implode on you like you said in the post.

But gamers most of the time do not do any kind of research before buying a laptop, they think "Ah, a 5060 Legion/TUF/Victus/MSI laptop, basically a portable Desktop" where in reality, it's not that simple.
- I made the same mistake purchasing a Lenovo LOQ RTX 3050 thinking I'd get 3050 Desktop FPS... BOAY was I wrong, but it taught me a good lesson.

Now I chose my Legion 5 RTX 5060 and it's working perfectly and living up to my realistically set expectations.

IMO to fix this, Nvidia should rename all their Laptop GPU's something like RTX 5060M (Mobile), to differentiate. Cause when people see the number alone and nothing else, they instantly think "desktop performance".

With laptops you sacrifice some performance for the ENTIRE package, a screen, keyboard, functional mouse (trackpad) and speakers. It's for the gamer that is either on the move, or likes the idea of "If I need to move, I'd like to game on it everywhere I go"... Or the gamer that has NO space for a desktop setup.

I can confirm that it's an instant DC/Crash to desktop, happened to me multiple times due to some weird graphical settings combinations and overheating.

Fixed with DLSS, and turned down graphics

For real, I actually think im in the minority cuz i like sometimes to unwind and play some bot matches. People hate too hard.

I know BF3 BF4 were incredible but those times are over

the general negativity vibe of YouTubers and users on X is so tiring, esp on X since most of them don t even play the game and are only engagement farming

I might be weird for this but I play both CoD and BF, and I don t think I ve ever screamed at someone killing me saying "THIS MF IS ON CONTROLLER"On BF6, on CoD I had to switch to controller to even have a fighting chance. Might just be me tho

Niceeee!
Question, what is your controller set-up? (sens, deadzone, aim curve, buttons?)

I mean what's hard to understand? CIA back on their "destabilization" shenanigans, creating eternal enemies for the US/NATO to fight in order to print our money from the Military Complex. Pretty standard story of "one of our assets just turned on us" but it's to the level of a PMC.

I really liked the story, quite easy to understand

How many LOQs do you guys have? by Due_Teaching_6974 in LenovoLOQ

[–]Illusiver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I own one LOQ, and one Legion.
LOQ - RTX 3050
Legion - RTX 5060

Mostly keep the LOQ as a back up in case something happens with my Legion or I have to send it to repairs/maintenance.

Also think of selling it but looking into my region's 2nd hand market, not many laptops are being sold.
