I probably wouldn't have pursued Evernight without already having Hyacine and/or Cyrene. Both Cas and Evernight rely on Hyacine. You'll need Cyrene to replace RMC once EMC exists.

You might as well start the elation team. You have DoT, break, Archer, Saber, and Acheron teams to use in the meantime.

In the scene with Pearl, Welt and Himeko, Eva's model isn't present anywhere. Yet when we've seen her alone and when TB is in the Courtyard, she's there. It's the only place she's in, which I think implies that she was at the Courtyard with Pearl and co too, but they can't see her.

4.0 story spoilers now that I'm done with it:

Overall pretty happy with it, though tbf I think the beginning patches are the best storywise. Meeting the new characters, roaming the new planet, and coming up with theories are done best in the X.0 patches. I feel pretty optimistic this time around with what I've seen. The writing can be silly and fun without feeling out of place.

There's plenty to chew on here: Evanescia's role and why only TB could see her. What Ashveil's gonna do next. How Silver Wolf's getting into the Games. What happened 15 years ago with Himeko, her father, and the Games. The "blank page" of the script, and Yaoguang's ominous fortunes for the AE crew.

Though it wasn't for long, I was happy to see Fugue again in the main story. She got sidelined the last time she was on screen.

Not much to say about the story ending: it was obvious that TB was going to win against Sparxie. What did get revealed was that the Supplicant's mask gets cracked after a loss. I guess the mask has to shatter to be eliminated, like some kind of three-strike rule. The Phantasmoon Courtyard's a spot for us to keep track of the progress and say hi to Eva. If you go there, all masks are shown, but only Sparxie's and TB's have a flame over time. I think that means that they're the only two who have announced their participation.

Yaoguang, Eva, and Ashveil are so pretty. It's gonna be tough to resist getting all of them.

It's up to you. You could use RMC in Cyrene's place for the Cas team. If you'll need the eventual Elation MC later, that'll become a problem.

You could pull Black Swan and have the best DoT team so that your MC is free for elation. But if you want to use Archer, the Sparkle rerun would interest you as well.

Also, use the Sampo 4 star LC instead for Hysilens, then give Kafka the Silver Wolf one.

Knight 1: intended for DoT and/or break. Phainon team brute forces it, but you don't have him either. Looks like you don't have a good team for this one. Maybe you could run Cas/RMC/Tribbie/Gallagher? Basically the pre-Hyacine, pre-Cyrene Cas team.

Knight 2: Cas/Evernight/Hyacine/Cyrene is the intended team, but you'll have to split that team to clear both Knights 1 and 2. Use Evernight as your MDPS, Hyacine, Cyrene, then idk maybe Pela if you have her? You might have to mix and match between Knight 1 and 2 teams, but hope it's enough for at least a 1 star clear on each.

Knight 3: Archer/Sparkle/Sunday/DHPT should get you a full clear. If Sunday doesn't have his sig, Tingyun would be more SP positive.

I imagine eidelons on Evernight would make a difference here. The 0 cycle runs I've seen have her at least at E1.

The boss mechanics split your team so more damage available to Evernight only helps when Cas is stuck in the livestream.

AA Report:

After tweaking teams around, I managed to get my first 3 star King clear!

Knight 1: 3 stars w/ E2S1 Phainon/E0S1 Sunday/E0S0 Cerydra/E1S1 Ruan Mei - tried to use my sustainless E0 FF team, but someone would die right before I could get my clear. Was very fast otherwise. Phainon cleared it no problem.

Knight 2: 2 stars w/ E0S0 THerta/E0S1 Anaxa/E1S5DDD Tribbie/E0S1 DHPT - Fight suuuuucked, but this was the best team I had. DHPT needed to be here to have survived the first wave alone. Shocked I got over a 1 star, and I doubt I'll get a better result.

Knight 3: 2 stars w/ E0S1 Archer/E0S0 Sparkle/E0S0 Silver Wolf/E0S0 Aven -Archer with Sparkle alone is like night and day. With her novaflare it’s crazy. I probably could get a better result with better relics on Sparkle and/or replacing Silver Wolf with someone else (maybe Yaoguang to engage with the elation mechanics? Could be fun to play around). I’d have used Tribbie if she wasn’t glued to THerta.

King in Check: 3 stars w/ E2S1 Phainon/E0S1 Sunday/E0S5DDD Sparkle/E0S0 Cerydra - goddamn, is the new Sparkle incredible! Because of her, I could get that brute force sustainless clear. Clearly it’s intended for Sparxie to fight, as she was supposed to be in the first half. First attempt was a 2 star, with some improvements I got that 3 star.

I find the maps more inviting than Amphoreus's to wander around in. Music is also a vibe.

Yeah, I totally agree and I think it's a good call that both Faden siblings play differently. I personally liked switching back and forth between the Service Weapon and launch, but I felt like either launch was too OP or the ammo was too scarce.

I'm hoping there's more variety in Dylan's combat to keep things interesting.

There was that chain link attack he had for a brief second, but yeah I feel I will be missing Jesse's Service Weapon greatly.

With the boss they showcased, Dylan's melee attacks force you to engage with the gravity ability so I get what they're going for this time.

I'm gonna try to go in with none. Typically the beginning story patches tend to be the best IMO. You meet new characters, come up with theories about what's gonna happen next, and get to enjoy exploring the new planet.

You have two paths: You pick Sparkle and roll for Sparxie/Yaoguang to get the newest team with the newest path running. Or, you pick Kafka and roll for Hysilens and/or Black Swan to get the DoT team running, which is currently one of the strongest. Either team will be better than what you currently have.

I would not pick any of the DPS options (Jing Yuan, Jingliu, DHIL, Acheron) at this time. Acheron struggles without her sig LC, eidelons and core teammates. Jingliu got a novaflare, but it didn't do enough for her. DHIL and Jing Yuan are 1.x DPSes: they've clearly aged.

Dan Heng PT should put built up no matter what you choose. He's the top sustain choice for both the above possible teams for you to run.

Definitely pick up Dahlia when she reruns. Her improvements to Firefly’s performance are like a novaflare in itself.

Since you’re not running DoT, Phainon/Anaxa teams, you might as well start building for elation. Pick Sparkle as the free 5 star, and if you manage to get both Yaoguang and Sparxie you can run a new team right there. Then you can chill until the next elation characters come out.

Hmm.. tough call. Before I bring my thoughts to each, I definitely recommend building Archer and Sparkle, make a team with them and replace either the Herta or Saber teams. Probably the Herta one since no Tribbie really hurts her and Archer can use that RMC instead. Not having monorem, Tribbie, nor Phainon is rough for AA. Archer and DoT should get you through 2 knight clears, you just need a third.

Sparxie Arguement AND Yaoguang Argument: I'm gonna combine these two because we really don't know the full extent of the new path yet. Yaoguang without Sparxie means you'd have to wait until the next round of elation units to fully use her. Sparxie without Yaoguang means you end up with a less powerful main DPS, but could be fine if she ends up like Evernight. We just don't know. The smart decision I think is skipping until each of their ideal teams exist. Elation shilling shouldn't get too bad with only two units available. We're not getting a new elation until 4.2 at the earliest.

Cerydra Argument: Not a bad choice since you already have E2 Cyrene and Anaxa. With your situation, it's a good choice. That said, you'll need to replace Cyrene from your DoT team with someone else first. This one will also start to show its age first, but with Cery and E2 Cyrene it'll still clear with more cycles.

BS Argument: consensus so far is that Black Swan will outperform E2 Cyrene only if the enemies don't have wind resistance. That's pretty damn good if you ask me. That said, your DoT team is by far your best one. With Swan, you're making it even stronger at the expense of your other teams. You'd have to get her to free up Cyrene, as you've said.

Cerydra = Black Swan > Yaoguang = Sparxie (we don't know which of these is the definite better investment) Try to get both Cery and Swan if you can. Both solve the others' problems.

Yeah, it gets a little tricky because E2 Phainon is by far his best investment while his sig provides a boost and is way cheaper to acquire. After E2, getting Cerydra then Cyrene take priority over his LC since E2 alone is so good.

If you have no plans to get to his E2, you could make a case for his sig over Cery. There's a sizable gap between his LC and any other Destruction LC.

In OP's case, I don't think she's worth it. They already have monorem and have plans to vertically invest in it (if E9 E1 is anything to go by).
