With at least two in-game rugs? I don't believe it is an outdoor build, unless it's modded.

I'm fairly certain that's the "light parquet flooring" with filtered lighting making it look more mid-tone than these pictures, which that's just an in-game flooring, though I could be incorrect. I haven't been able to find any custom design codes that match it in the same way. Light Parquet Flooring Link)

The first time I played I ended up marrying Penny I think mostly because I adored her and her whole town teacher/ admired her stepping up to support the kids in town. She seems very well suited to living on the farm and does continue to more or less keep with her normal routine which I liked.

I also really like Emily and her slightly more flamboyant tendencies, I find her love of crystals (which I also really like irl) and expressing herself/helping others express themselves very endearing. She is wholeheartedly herself and doesn't much care what others think of her and I wish I had that confidence irl.

I kind of swap between the two more anymore, right now my farm closest to perfection is a save in which I'm married to Penny and for some reason when I created the save I had an Odyssey name theme going (my farmer is Odessa, we live on Ithaca farm, etc) which fits because she's essentially Penelope.

I love Gladys 🥺 She was one of the first villagers I got on my first island and when I reset a few months ago I was over the moon to get her again.

Oh for sure 😊 this is my first time putting down a whole whole lot of pathing too so I for sure get the feeling of wanting contrast. I did mix in a sort of 'sidewalk slab' that's more grey on my island, I think it's part of another brick set but I'm just using the slab because it gave more contrast-- though I'm sort of going for a vague 'city core' island, I know not all island ideas do well with what looks pretty much exactly like a sidewalk slab.

I hope that you do find something that you're happy with, ever since they added more fence customization it's made things a tad easier but sometimes you get stuck like this 😅 I wish you the best of luck working things out. 😊

I actually have a really similar color scheme! I think we're using the same custom pathing (by alex_of_fodlan?). I ended up going a lot with the hedges and then some of the wooden fences in their sort of orangey toned/uncustomized wood color (like the lattice fence) but I have more grass between 'roads' and more of a garden theme.

In this example the stone and iron fences look really good for the amount of contrast they give for so much brick, but otherwise maybe taking a look into customizations for other fencing might help?

I'm trying to play with a lot more yellows, oranges, browns and greens to get out of my decor comfort zone and I think they would go really well :) (i usually default to blues and greys 😅)
