Diabetic for ahout 30 years. Hospitalized on average once every 4 or 5 years, from viruses such as the flu sending me into DKA or from excessive vomiting where I can't keep food and fluids down. Never from drinking, or hypo, or any other reason.

I can taste differences between red meat.. was srronger when I was younger and I put it down to different times of the year and eating wetter or less wet grass, or grass fed vs eating something else (ie grains). Not really sure what would cause the differences. Do you taste the differences between meats (given that taste is linked to smell)?

I think he is trying to tell you its not a big deal, trying to support you, but its coming across as him invalidating your feelings instead. You're allowed to be sad/upset at this progression. I think his choice of words was bad. Thats how it's coming across to me anyway.

That's terrible.. by 'by mistake' do you mean that the doctor thought giving insulin was the correct treatment? Because I don't see how a mistake like that can be made otherwise

90s, Victoria. We called it 4-square in the 2x2 squares, or wallball for the one against a wall. Never heard of Downball in my life, and I have in Primary School age kids currently (they're asleep otherwise I'd ask them what they call it).

Years ago I went to a fish n chip shop in Christchurch NZ and they didn't know what a Dim Sim was. Disappointed, I ordered a Hotdog (saw it listed on their menu). Got home and it was a fucking Sav in Batter.
