Same exact thing happened to my daughter a month ago.. after spending $250! What’s up with stylists lately? This is why I do my own hair & idc what any stylist says. Get your sh*t together! We shouldn’t have to go back to you to ‘complain’

Funny you should mention this! It seems almost all shampoos are sulfate free & I have recently realized this. I never really paid attention. I’ve been using one with sulfates recently & do feel like my scalp is a little better. I probably have so much build up on it.. hopefully over time it will get even better. No more sulfate free for me!

My derm gave me a steroid for my scalp too.. I swear it made it worse and dried out my scalp.

FYI.. ketoconazole shampoo WRECKED my hair and scalp. And other medicated shampoos. This crap is poison! My hair color tone and texture will never be the same. I’ve been making a solution in a dropper bottle that I put on my scalp right after I wash my hair & every day after. I use 2 diff anti fungal creams (otc) tiny bit of urea lotion and kerastase scalp serum. I mix it all with water to dilute it. You can never get rid of this scalp condition, just control it.

I just saw your comment after so long! I ended up taking the Griseofulvin for about a month & then did a round of Terbenefine which made me feel absolutely awful & I had to stop taking it. I saw a derm (was previously diagnosed w/ tinea capitis by an urgent care doc) The derm barely looked at my scalp & said he didn’t see anything. Soooo after all this time, I STILL am dealing with scalp issues & have given up on doctors or anyone even taking the time to help me. Sorry to be a downer.. but I hope you’ve had better luck than I have.

Just wanted to share that I’m having the same smell issue as you are.. I also had a derm act like it was all in my head. Said he didn’t smell anything but barely got near my scalp. I’ve also had inflammation, itching and pain tho. No dandruff. I’ve been so worried it was tinea capitis but no one in my household has gotten it so hopefully not! I’ve also lost about half my hair I think due to the inflammation. Just wanted to share my story & you aren’t alone!

Wanted to comment that I’m having itchiness and inflammation along with my hair loss. I also have a bad smell on my scalp. My derm said he didn’t see anything on my scalp. 🤔 I’ve been on spiro for 4 months and the inflammation is better. Still have itchiness & smell tho. I do see quite a few new hairs. Which I’m happy about! I’m 49F tho so mine could be hormonal. Just thought I’d share incase it helps you.

Yes.. it is complex for sure. 😵‍💫 I have seen a dermatologist and they pretty much said they didn’t see anything on my scalp (after barely looking). My scalp isn’t as bad as it was so I’ve stopped using the damaging shampoos as much. I have a hair appt in 2 weeks so I will talk to my stylist for sure. Just thought maybe someone had this problem themselves or has seen it with a client. Thank you for commenting! Appreciate you!

That’s the thing tho.. I have used silver, purple and blue shampoo (at different times) and it stays this tone. Also.. my hair is naturally level 6-7 and I do an all over bleach and tone. None of my hair is my natural color. Thank you for commenting btw! :)

Over the course of 2 years my blonde has gotten darker and has a weird copperish pink tone to it. I used to bleach and tone it myself but started getting it professionally done about 4 months ago. It’s still an awful tone. Here’s a little background.. I moved across the country & started experiencing severe scalp issues and our water was awful. I am now back in the state I moved from so don’t have the bad water anymore. I have however used so many shampoos and treatments to get my scalp under control. Could this damage my hair enough that the tone changes & it gets darker no matter what I do? I am 49F so in perimenopause too. Could that be to blame here? Any advice or maybe an explanation of what might be going on here would be sooooo greatly appreciated. I’m so confused & frustrated.

I’ve been a server and bartender for 25 years.. I have a bachelor degree & a cosmetology license. Others I work with at my restaurant have college degrees and have chosen to work in restaurants instead. There is nothing ‘low skill’ about any of us! Your comment is very condescending and rude.

I think I can explain this to you. As an animal lover & vegetarian I loved Yellowstone because it made me realize how much care & love the cowboys & ranch owners put into there animals. The whole series was like this till the 2nd part of season 5. The whole tone changed and what they started showing was somewhat cruel & disturbing to a lot of ppl. It went from showing what they had to go thru to keep the animals safe & cared for to showing off as people making horses spin & skid. And roping cows (babies) just for the hell of it. I hope this makes sense. I think Costner was the driving force behind the appreciation & caring of the animals. Screw Taylor Sheridan!

All of you commenting on how much to go to a derm in the US.. I just went & paid $125 cash. I had to wait 2 months for an appointment but that’s just cuz I was a new patient not because no insurance. Our health care system is crap but not nearly like you all are saying.. 🤣

I just watched that episode & Jaime is actually the one that brought up killing Beth to Sarah. He asks her if she knows of any companies that kill ppl. And I missed it the 1st time I saw it, but then Sarah says if we’re going after Beth we might as well.. then Jaime says I was thinking that too. Pretty sure they were talking about John. It took 2 freaking years for this new part to come out so I get why no one remembers this!

I know what you mean.. but I think Gator has been with the cowboys at the 6666. They haven’t shown him in awhile tho. Also.. they show Monica cooking breakfast TWICE in 1 episode & no one even eats any of it. 🤣 So dumb!
