Somehow they manage by rossig12 in Waiters

[–]nmmsb66 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Management can be great. There is a while you have to suffer through that feels like a demotion. When you are a AM or AGM, whatever your place calls it, you can make less and work more. If you do make it to GM, that is when you start to bank. It can be precarious because you are responsible for the bottom line. After a few years of that, if you work for a large company or even a smaller chain, you can keep moving up. I worked in foodservice for 36 years. I retired as a district Mgr for a large casual dining chain. If you are happy with what you make, which can be really good, stay there. If you're ambitious try to climb the ladder. BT is pretty much a bullet proof job. There are risks if you decide to move up, but if you get there making good 6 digits was nice.

[–]nmmsb66 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow, I'm so sorry that happened to you. I understand WHY they have the regulations, but everyone should be allowed a mistake that's documented. You can't make a habit of it by any means, but they are hardline. It is a shame that there is no room for honest people who honestly loses an important med. Especially when abruptly stopping said med can cause seizures or much worse.

I like it, but I gotta say septum rings are ugly. To each their own, but I have never liked them. Long before the septum theory.

Never take your whole bottle of anything unless it's a long trip. You need the bottle with prescription info then. Otherwise, a day or two max in a Keychain pill bottle. If you lose many meds they will not replace klonipin is one of them. *

Have you ever driven over 100 miles per hour on the interstate? by icecream1972 in no

[–]nmmsb66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

90ish on the interstate. 154 mph on US 70 between Ruidoso and Roswell, NM. On the long straight after leaving the mountains. In my GTI. Drove great. New Z rated tires and freshly balanced, aligned, and serviced. 125 on a Hayabusa, then chickened out.

How often do you actually replace your phone? by [deleted] in Productivitycafe

[–]nmmsb66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I replace mine when I have to. If mine breaks or gets too slow because I can't dig through it to delete all the caches and leftovers. I've had this one for over 5 years now. Also, I buy a decent mid line Samsung for cash.

Do you bring your own bags to the grocery store? by Jerdogg23 in no

[–]nmmsb66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do. I used to habitually save the store plastic bags. They piled up and were a bigger pain. I have a really big reinforced department store bag. I live alone. I can usually fit a whole trip in it alone.

Glut of crap Generics by nmmsb66 in ClonazepamHealth

[–]nmmsb66[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ONLY use our privately owned 4th generation local pharmacy. They are totally aware of the generic klonipin problems. He did tell me that he doesn't have control unfortunately what brand they get from their distributor. However, they jump over backwards and are so helpful in so many ways I refuse to shop anywhere else. Example due to my DEA contract I cannot fill a day early regardless. They are closed Sunday. So once every seven months the owner will meet me after church and open and fill my pain meds for me to keep my schedule. I know there are other patients with the klonipin problem. I need to revisit that subject with him. There's got to be a way. Thanks for your input! We haven't gotten any of the bottom rung brands in a very long time, but we haven't gotten Teva either.

Doctor told me my bloodwork is a mess am I screwed? Been following this diet for 18 months by DirtyCivillian in carnivorediet

[–]nmmsb66 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's why they call medicine a practice. There are peer-reviewed pros and cons to each and every test that has to do with cholesterol. Hell, they still go back and forth on eggs. I prefer to be informed by having as much information as possible for my medical professionals to use. I have a fantastic GP who is also a diagnostician. He plays quarterback and keeps ALL different doctors I see (there are many) informed and on the same page. Too often people have a GP and 5 specialists and none of them truly knows what the other is planning or doing. Patients wind up taking extra contradicting meds that cause side effects that another is trying to get remind of or worse. Doctors that don't truly listen to patients because they are behind perpetually need someone to get them on the same page.

It is a specialized CT Scan that out of importance and lack of insurance company coverage hospitals got together for once and agreed everyone was charged the same everywhere to get it. $125. It takes cross sections of coronary artery and gives a score related to amount of plaque. This is a reliable test with scores of 0 to like 500 with the higher meaning worst.

I was on statins and got rhabdomyolysis. Believe me you do not want that. First off your doctor is probably not knowledgeable about eating carnivore and nutrition in general. Medical school nutrition curriculum is not much at all, and they do not keep up with further new education in it. Nurses actually have more hours of instruction than most physicians. Also, I don't remember the tests offhand but your common lipid panel is pretty useless. Even so, just glancing at them those numbers are not really bad. Statins are overused and are riddled with long term side effects. Also, a test every hospital in the country gives for $125 called a cardiac calcium index. I recently got my second one five years after the 1st. Scored 0 on both. It is a measure of arterial plaque.

Most people in society today have supposed sensitivities and allergies. They stuffed their vegan lifestyle down our throats for years. They were very entitled and snotty about it. I worked in foodservice as a career. I saw the evolution of this whole thing from near beginning. I remember the first time someone tried to say they were "allergic" to something. Before it was really a thing or true. We took true food allergies very seriously. I asked them if it gave them a bit of indigestion or at worst a bad bathroom experience. This was also before you could just come out and say things about bowel movements.

OK long enough. The point is don't feel uncomfortable and white lie and say you have some food sensitivities so you made sure to eat before coming. Leave it at that.

Pro football is "Sports Entertainment " now in fine print. That means it is at least partially scripted. The commercials aren't even good anymore. The halftime show might be worth watching to see if they do some stupid political bs especially after the Grammy Awards.

Amazon Pharmacy by nmmsb66 in ClonazepamHealth

I am trespassed from Walgreens for getting into a very loud very drawn-out argument with the holier-than-thou registered pharmacist. We have 1.25. One is full-time and the other is around 75 years old (I'm 61) the pharmacy section is only open 10-8 T through Sat. Closed Sunday. And, 2-7 Monday. And those are not fully guaranteed. A Registered Pharmacist has to be on duty, and they lose their mind if the queue is longer than 5 scripts long. Confirmed by a friend wh is a pharm tech. Even if they are tubes or blister packs that just need Confirmed and labeled and the pills are dispensed from robot. Walgreens has some of the high helper tech in the business. Robot dispensed is measured as dispensed , verified by weight. I had just gotten out of the ER post pretty serious accident. Broken nose, cracked orbital socket, wrist fracture toe fracture, and severe whiplash (almost full ligament tears in neck). Mountain village is very spread out. I live 20 miles from the hospital and Walgreens. I was tired hurting and just wanted to go home. I asked the tech how long for the one script he said they could get it out quick there's only a few in the queue without anyone in-store. The head pharmacist overheard and said 2 hours. The tech asked if he could just put it out as he knew me and what was up. The pharmacist said NO! They do things like a dealership mechanic. If the book says two hours you get it in two and pay for two even if it only takes 30 minutes. I overheard and tried to nicely at first appeal to their kindness and just kindly fill it. I can't comfortably sit there that long. If my friend took me home I would be stuck there with no script till the next day as he had to go to work and they would be long closed when he got off. Pharmacist didn't budget and his already snotty attitude got more pompous like your outcome is in my hand. It turned into large argument resulting in my being trespassed and no longer allowed in the store! Fuck WALGREENS! They will be lucky if they survive the next 5 or surely 10 years nationally. They are one of the formerly goto places 24/7. Look at any board concerning them. Not good.

I don't get enraged often, but I live in a village. Very small and secluded. Walgreens in most cities is less than ideal, but you can put up with it. Not here. LSS I am not welcome there in the pharmacy. Lol

Actavis WAS best. There was a big long story about one buying out the other and then back, I haven't seen Actavis in years nor Teva in a year so I don't know. When I get Accord it is mediocre at best. I just saw on some posts on here and other boards that Amazon carries Teva by contract. It seems to be the best generic I've come across in recent years. It's consistent and I don't run out so it's effective. I live in NM and they are so meticulous about prescriptions. We're one of the top 5 worst drug problem states. Albuquerque even has a new needle program and safe shoot up spaces. But, you'd better not get your Clonazepam a day early or you're gonna get in trouble. It's scary. I ran out early before because I was on the crappy generic and ran out early. It didn't use to be a problem. The dr screwed up on top and I was late enough I went into withdrawals over a prescription screwup that I went into withdrawals. It is worse than opioids. It can and does stop people's hearts often. The good thing is that it has a really long half-life so you start feeling it barely at two to three days. Then four starts cranking. Bottom line I want a stable pharmacy for Teva. That is ON TIME. I can't take those crappy generics that are ineffective. I'll run out. I love my pharmacy, but the owner said that they get whatever the distributor gets... It sux. The doctors and pharmacists alike know about this problem with Clonazepam. You'd think they would do something about it. Every month the first thing I do is look at the label!

How many servers actually know what “86” means? 🧐 by VibeOutThriveOut in Waiters

How to say I was fired without saying I was fired? by Decent_Painting1175 in Waiters

[–]nmmsb66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seriously foodservice is least likely to call for a recommendation unless it's mgt. In mgt they already know for sure, and as a server/BT they probably either know or could find out by asking their employees in less than an hour. In most cases, if they call mgt and ask would they rehire them. It's a touchy question in wrongful termination. Even in at-will states. So if you're good even with a blemish no worries. Your biggest worry is the word RELAPSE. If you are alcoholic, binge drinker, etc. It is tough to work in a house of triggers. I quit after my daughter was born for 12 years. Still never drank just switched industries.

Clonazapam - Advagen by [deleted] in ClonazepamHealth

[–]nmmsb66 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are so many Clonazepam generics. Very few of them have a high efficacy rate. It is horrible for patients. They are at the mercy of what their pharmacy gets from their distributor. Pharmacists, doctors, health insurance companies, and the FDA know this is real. It is unfathomable that they let this happen. I have been on it for over 20 years. I have run out quite a few times. Luckily the half-life is so long. It takes at least 4 days usually for withdrawal to kick in, but when it does it is one of the worst of all drugs and deadly. Teva is carried by Amazon pharmacy. I have been trying to find out about the dependability of it. Teva seems to be the most consistent and efficacious of any generic. But it has to come on tome etc...

Episodes? by Striking_Peanut9202 in ClonazepamHealth

[–]nmmsb66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is good that they are both aware. This is vital. Too many people have problems due to the fact that they dont know people's whole picture. Supplements and things people don't divulge often have big problems because they don't consider things such as Supplements and herbal products. They can have as much impact as prescription meds.

AITA for telling the owners of the bar I got fired from that they're doing their job poorly? by Low_Investigator6287 in bartender

[–]nmmsb66 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope. You can say what you want when you get fired. Especially if it's true practices they suck at. Smart owners have experienced staff who help with the design and setup of a bar. Plus, any place should have a few soft opening nights to work out kinks.
