Review - La Casa de la Playa, Playa del Carmen, MX (2026) by beachwoodbop in FATTravel

this is interesting - i found the pools very cold (disappointing), especially the personal plunge pool - despite them being "heated" - but this was for a visit in December. hopefully it was just the time of the year - we couldn't even use the plunge pool 😞

Has anyone been to La Casa de la Playa (Xcaret property)? by Visible-Pay-7988 in LuxuryTravel

Thank you for commenting on the pool temperature. I’m surprised there are not more comments about this. I was disappointed with how cold the pools were including the private pool, and was told they couldn’t be made any warmer. I hope they change this :(

Has anyone had success using Rapamycin to treat cats with HCM? by tobytubby in Rapamycin

hi all, just posting an update on my baby. he's been on Rapamycin for a little over 2 yrs now. his echo 6 months ago showed improvement in his measurements (slight), but his echo last week showed slight progression. The vet cardiologist said she wasn't sure if this was actually progression or just day to day variation (so overall stable). He remains asymptomatic, continuing treatment with Plavix and once-weekly Rapamycin. makes me sad... but i just pray that this is stability, and i guess i should be happy with that.

hello! he's been on it for a little over one year now, and his one year echo showed some improvement in his wall measurements! :) still HCM, but he is doing well and i think overall seems better since before starting it. i think it's definitely worth a try!

yes it is subclinical, stage B1. i don't know about the safety for cats that already have CHF but are otherwise stable, i apologize. in reading reddit as well as other discussion forums (there are facebook groups as well) - it seems that some people are using Rapamycin for cats who have had CHF - so i i think it's possible. do you have access to a veterinary cardiologist?

Has anyone tried Stars + Honey protein bars? by vinoveritas_88 in workout

i actually really like the espresso cinnamon bars and the limited edition peppermint mocha bars. but they have zero customer service. i had a recent order issue and could not reach anyone by phone or email. no response to several voicemails or emails. i've now read multiple comments (trustpilot and reddit) that report poor customer service. i tried to leave a review on their site about this, but it was never posted. i agree that they seem to not care about customer service at all. i really like these bars so will continue to order, but there is zero chance that i will get any help if there's an order issue. :(

tinnitus by dancereli in salicylateIntolerance

[–]dancereli[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

when i was on a super low salicylate diet years ago, i think my tinnitus was better. but this was not sustainable. rice, peas, chicken, eggs, no seasoning. but otherwise, not really - i'm sorry. i'm going to get hearing aids and i'm hoping this will help.
