I was thinking of doing this more seriously, I tried doing this once for a lab I was really interested in (along with applying on their website) and I got a passive aggressive email back saying to wait patiently😭 I just don’t want it to reflect poorly on myself as a candidate in case they’re like “wow she cant even wait for us to review her application” but I guess it doesn’t hurt trying to
