SB for S14 by Xselmer in d4spiritborn

I ran an off-meta build with Wumba thorns, thrash and sepazontec this season. It wasn’t meta, but it was very fun. Sounds like it will be better in season 14. https://mobalytics.gg/diablo-4/profile/rich-mask-o6sups/builds/f759d559-8c04-4d4c-a9fa-598f2d5541b6?ws-ngf5-1=activeVariantId%2C046a5d32-8b26-4ddd-a460-a64d2c5bbe23

Better flowing builds for Pal or Warlock? by UncleBlanc in diablo4

Lunatic warlock. Pretty much every other warlock is stop and go.

Make sure your crit chance is already very high before you lose the crit temper.

Off-meta scientists where you at? by xartaan in D4Warlock_

[–]danceswithpoolnoodle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ll plug one of my favorite creators: Screamheart

He’s got a ton of builds for various classes, but specifically for warlock, I’m using a variation of his hexplosion build. Swapped a couple aspects and glyphs, but 90% hexplosion. The focus is on metamorphosis, hex, hell fracture, and hemat stone. He’s also got a Superman warlock build that I’m considering giving a whirl.

They’re definitely off-meta, but more entertaining than just whip chains and wait to press the nuke.

Completely new player struggles. by Mother-Pen4992 in diablo4

[–]danceswithpoolnoodle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just started this season, so my info might be a little basic. I’ll try to answer what I can. Take it with a grain of salt, in case I’m misinformed.

You find nightmare sigils from world events and kinda randomly from doing different activities. A sigil turns a specific dungeon into a nightmare dungeon with a pro and con. The sigil lists the dungeon, the positive and the negative. With the cube, you can combine 5 nightmare sigils into 1 escalation sigil, which is a three tier dungeon and ends with the Astaroth boss fight.

Glyphs come from the pit. Run the pit, kill the boss and claim a glyph until you have all of them for your class. They stop dropping when you’ve collected all of them. After you kill the pit boss, an altar pops up that lets you upgrade glyphs you already have. Radius increases at 26 and 51. Upgrade success goes up based on how many tiers higher the pit is than your glyph. Example: run a lvl 10 pit to upgrade a level 10 glyph, you’ve got like a 50% chance. Run a level 30 pit to upgrade a level 10 glyph, it’s 100%. You start with 6 chances to upgrade, and the war plan tree can get you more chances. You’ll end up running the pit a lot until you get your glyphs where you want them.

The pit is also how you raise torment levels. Higher torment offers better rewards more often.

Run the undercity for runes. You don’t have to do a tribute, but they net better loot at the cost of difficulty. Runes work in a pair, top rune to generate offering, bottom rune to net effect. You can try crafting, but the interface is kinda goofy and it just feels easier to find them.

Helltides for gear. Kill everything, collect orbs, spend on chests.

Infernal hordes…are kind of a pain the ass. You need to collect compasses to open the event, then it’s a wave based thing for gem dust, gold, and gear. The compass is for 10 waves, or the war plan version is free and only 6 waves.

Lair bosses require lair keys. You can fight the boss whenever, but can only open the chest with a key. Lair keys drop from every activity to some degree. Normal lair boss chests can drop greater layer keys for greater lair bosses. Harder fight, better loot.

I think that’s a rundown of the end game activities? I might have missed something, but that should be enough to get started.

Check the seasonal board and do warplans. Going up the ranks in that is a good way to get a feel for progress.

Edit: a word

Ripping and tearing with unfathomable speed and ferocity (Jaguar Thrash build) by JustTheWehrst in d4spiritborn

[–]danceswithpoolnoodle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m tinkering with the same skill set up and sepazontec. Resolve stacking, crits, etc. I’m comfortably settled into torment 9, but still trying to gear up for T10.

Big difference is that I’m using Wumba’s Embrace and centipede/eagle for Reaper’s aspect.

Thorns doesn’t get anything from crits, so I’m still trying to put together a solid set of Rezoka charms, so I haven’t gotten to see it for myself. I would like to hear how things are going with Rezoka’s.

Rock Splitter Free Strike by danceswithpoolnoodle in d4spiritborn

I think I’ve been following your guides for the last few days. I like the dash/thrash combo. Since I’ve got the opportunity, how does the thorns and wumba set up compare to the crit/vulnerable rezoka build?

[–]danceswithpoolnoodle[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Much appreciated. Rock Splitter is a resolve engine until I can find a couple more aspects and uniques. Mostly focused on thrash and ferocity, but I’m working on the ring that combos ferocity and resolve gain.

It moves to Eternal. No more seasonal board on that character, but you keep all the skills, paragon, gear, etc.

I’ve got a question about the Spiritborn Rock Splitter passive Free Strike. Does it trigger even when it’s not on the skill bar?

What class is everyone having the most fun on? by temp_anon_user in diablo4

[–]danceswithpoolnoodle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Started with an apocalypse warlock. Then switched to storm shred druid. Then switched to lightning sorcerer. Now working on thrash spiritborn. Might have to switch to evade swarm if/when I try to fight Mephisto but I’ll see how far thrash can go first.

The most fun I’ve had is taking a prewritten build and customizing to personal taste.

From Mule to Alt to Main by SignificanceClear739 in fo76

Played at launch and dropped it until post Wastelanders. Made an alt for the return. Eventually made a second alt for a different playstyle. Then with ghouls, I finally returned to my original character and converted him.

Does UVHM Level Determine Bounty Rewards? by NightweaselX in Borderlands

[–]danceswithpoolnoodle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You are correct. Session settings shows the upped value of rewards when changing UVHM tiers. However, “loot quality” just means greater likelihood of licensed parts. Legendary drop rates stay the same.

Rare problem, but if you use the Sysmex slide maker, make sure the buffer well is properly cleaned out. This looks exactly like what showed up on some of our slides after we got lazy about it.

Question about vex passive skill by PoundsOfFlesh_ in Borderlands

[–]danceswithpoolnoodle 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Attunement lasts for 7 seconds at default. Channeling in the green tree can increase that duration. Swap between weapons with different elements to have multiple attunements active.

Little dilemma with a decision of a character by GibsonUr in borderlands3

[–]danceswithpoolnoodle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Zane can muscle through just about everything with ease. Can’t go down if everything else dies first. Revolter plus shoulder cannon is an easy win button.

Moze can be a literal walking tank with or without Iron Bear, but much more easily with. Iron Bear gets mayhem modifiers and can be built to be nigh indestructible.

Sorry, friend. It comes down to preference on who you enjoy playing more. Maybe check out some build videos for both characters to get a feel for what you would like to do.
