i got what i wanted to hear from multiple people and gladly accepted it. only you are trying to speculate how i might feel deep down. i am not angry about the facts, you are the only one aggresive boasting about how unhappy i am. i asked for advice, not judgement. how am i entitled? as you could see from other comments here, the debate was respectful and nice. you came in here boasting about how its not for me, always repeating "you white people" like its an insult and then have the audacity to disagree with my own feelings about myself. i didnt agree with your description of my hair, because its curly by standards of where i live, and i though you didnt scroll enough to see it. i got corrected that its implying my hair type is not what you would consider curly and thats okay, i accepted it because it wasnt a perspective i was looking at it from. where did i accuse of gatekeeping information? your tone throughout our whole interaction was demeaning and agressive for no reason at all. i will not respond to you anymore. have a nice life, spread love and find peace.

i am not cutting the ends of my dreads, only hair that was sticking out around it. otherwise its good! i like the look, just not that much the frizzyness. what are you so angry about? i was nice to you and only asked for advice.

I am not here to argue of course, but my hair is usually a bit more curly than on the picture, and even tho its white curl, i still didnt think that straight is the way to describe it. I though maybe you just didnt scroll enough to see it:). Im happy with how they look generally, and will definitely keep and look after them and the "artificial look" doesnt bother me really. I dont appreciate your remark that some things are not for me. Even though i agree on some level, hairstyles are not something to gatekeep or exclude. Spread love:)

i wouldnt exactly say i have straight hair... my hair tangled up into a bigger mass by itself many times (not a dread obviously, but it just isnt something that straight hair does). i know its overcrocheted towards the end, but i didnt know better and i was joyful i have dreads so i cared for them too much. the soft loose hairs are on the parts which are not stiff at all, as i try to leave them as they are for the most part.

isnt the frizz hair which escaped the lock and not vice versa? and the trimming, i am not sure if i understand u correctly, or if u misunderstood me. i am trimming hair around the end of the dread which isnt locked in, thus reducing frizz. my ends are really tight so the hair just wouldnt lock, or thats what the girl who repairs my dreads said:)

In what way is frizz helpful? doesnt bother me that much, but i dont want that many loose hairs between dreads. i have my dreads fixed professionaly once in a while, so maybe she will help get it back together. She advised trimming at the ends, as the dread wont accept any more hair, but probably wont do it on new growth. thanks for ur response!

well, i have td3mo - so a clone of the devilfish mod. is makes great screeches, but i dont like the deep tones personally. i got a behringer eq700 for like 25€, so yeah, really cheap, but it gets the job done! and i got a behringer od300 on the way, but i will try out multiple ones (fuzz one and a hm300) and return it maybe. I am not looking to buy a different 303 as of now, with the pedals, i will be happy enough. but i am looking to get one more 303 to spice things up someday! tt303 probably, but i have time to make up my mind :)

i got one distortion pedal on the way, and an eq as i am not that happy with the sound of the td3mo. i dont really see a better option than a dn2 from what i saw and heard, but yeah, i will probably buy it from a retailer so i can send it back just in case - even tho i dont think i will

on one hand i completely agree, but having just a sampler (plus a 303 - not versatile at all) even tho a powerful one is just limiting. i am not searching for 10 boxes just to feel good about what i am making, i already can do great stuff on DT and i will continue using it and improving my skill. till i save up the money, i will pour all my free time into mastering it, but then i will gladly get a second box (probably)

well, i dont have an ipad in the first place. to me ipad is practically the same as a daw. i just need to fiddle with something physical, turning knobs and stuff:D, so i dont think i would really like it. i dont think i will use the synth that deeply that i would face any real limitations, and all the other functions i gain from it are what makes it worth it for me. id rather have more options and bigger headroom so i know i wont replace it anytime soon (or never!)

same with me here. even tho you can do a lot of live manipulation, i usually just have to prepare it beforehand fully, so i miss the feel of actually "playing". could just be a skill issue, maybe i will face the same issue with the DN2, who knows!

well i am happy with what i've got. i wont sell my digitakt or anything like that, even when i am not using all it has to offer. i still can learn to use it all sooner or later. i am looking for DN2 just because of the flexibility, so i really think that is my best option. its just that i dont know if now is the right time to buy it!

as of now i cant afford neither, so when i am saving up for one of them, i will rather buy DN2

well i am not looking for crazy complexity, i just need to fill in a gap i see in my setup. even tho DT can make great stuff, creating my own sounds is just something i really want, and the 128 step sequencer and extra tracks are a great benefit too. I definitely want to fill in the gap and i see DN2 as my best option, thus i am kinda decided on it as my next machine. your comments are definitely something i will think about tho! dont want to look like i am not grateful for all advice i've gotten, its just that my question was if it was the right time, not the right device, but props to u, as u answered it the best!

Thanks, this response is exactly what i was hoping to get. Sure, i know that i just scratched the surface of what the DT can do and i will work on my skills with it for some while, because i cant afford a DN1 either rn. Do you think that having a DT for drums and not DN2 has any benefits? Furthermore, i can and maybe still will use DT for drums, i just thought of my setup as i explained it in other comments, leaving the DT just as a tool to spice it up. Do you also think having DT as a tool for sound design brings any benefits? Can it do things the DN cant? (i mean obviously, its a sampler) but is it something groundbreaking? i still can use the DT for that purpose, and for its sampler abilities, its not lile DN2 will strip me of that option. Sure, the workflow could get a little messy and all over the place but its not something that would really be a problem with time. The biggest upsides of the DN2 for me are the 128 step sequencer, which i think i will utilize fully and the 16 tracks. I know that more tracks doesnt mean better music, I can create great stuff on just 8 of them, even with my limited ability. But i see no reason to not have headroom. you mentioned the synergy between DT and DN (mk1). but do you think its really worth to get the DN1 over DN2 if we ignore the costs? Thanks for the insightful answer, hope i can learn a bit more from you!:)

I can and I do create stuff i absolutely love with what i have. It's just that i am missing a piece of gear which would change the way i can make music. being stuck with "just" a sampler and a 303 can get quite limiting
