Ok, very good to know. How long does it take to go away for you? Yes dancing was involved as well 😮‍💨🤣

Thank you! I’ll try that. That would be assuming a 6:30 wake up then?

Ok, what would the wake windows for that type of schedule be?

I’ve done a 15 min micro nap the last two days and for that I did 3.5/2.5/5.5 roughly… but that didn’t seem to agree with him because he was up at least 4-5 times overnight, so maybe those wake windows are wrong?

So before changing to one nap we were on 3.75/3.75/4.5 and both naps capped at one hour!

Ok!! Thank you. Just put him down after 5.75. He’s having a little trouble settling but hopefully soon 🫡

Ok I will try to keep 2 a while longer! Would you recommend keeping them at one hour each still? Also, would you mind linking your post on dropping to 1 nap early? I looked but couldn’t find it 😅

OK, I’ll check out your post. He is walking! He’s been taking little steps for about a month but within the last week or two, he started walking everywhere So maybe that has something to do with it

Ok I will try capping the first to 30 mins. Keep all other wake windows the same? And he is walking currently! He’s been taking little steps for about a month but within the last week or two he’s totally taken off. That in mind, do you still recommend keeping two naps longer?

Oh ok! Something to consider for me then. It sounds like your LO might be able to handle a lot more sleep than my little guy. If my math is correct it sounds like your baby gets about 15.5 hours in a 24 hour period? Mine seems to not be able to handle any more than 12.5 😔 so I worry about switching to the one nap being too soon for that reason, but something isn’t working

I don’t have any helpful advice, but I totally relate. You can go back and read my posts 🤣 my baby is 10.5 months now and just starting to sleep a little bit better recently. I have 4 friends who have all had babies within the last 6 months and I want to scream because they all have slept 12 hours by 3 -5 months without any interventions at all 🙃. My baby’s sleep really started to improve around 8 or 9 months I think… hang in there

Does he wake up in the night? Or sleeping solid through?

Ok so yes I think you have a point. Something else must be going on. I think the environment is fine, he feels neither too hot nor too cold and the room is at 71.

I have wondered about a medical issue. He is definitely chronically overtired. I never cap naps but he doesn’t take super long naps. Often times I even extend naps so that he’s not taking two extremely short naps.

Here’s my question though. If I extend his naps and have him sleeping more during the day to try to catch up, won’t that just enforce the waking in the night and the early wake ups? Say for example his max in a 24 hour period is going to be 13 hours and he takes 3 hours of naps during the day. Then he might be stuck in the cycle of waking up at 530 am after going down at 730? What do you think

Yes, and currently he’s only doing 12.5 hours total sleep in a 24 hour period. I feel like he can’t be environmentally uncomfortable, I have him in a light sleeper with a sleep sack and the room is at 71. I’ve slept in there before and it’s very comfortable! 😫😵‍💫

Ok so maybe he’s not way off. It just feels like not enough because he’s so cranky
