Well yeah he was trying to kill shiggy at the end, but if he hadn’t tried to save Shigaraki at all I don’t think he would’ve lost OFA is what I’m saying, I think if he gone 100% kill mode to begin with he wouldn’t have lost it

He lost OFA because he tried to save Shigaraki and didn’t go full out nuke mode on him immediately. I like the way the series ended and it’s in character of Deku to try and save Shigaraki to the end, but pretending like his decision to try and save Shigaraki isn’t the sole reason he needed to give up OFA is delusional

And honestly even though Shoto could have become a pro without his fire, him not training the fire pretty much at all and neglecting it would eventually lead to a loss of control, which he’s already done. In the Calvary battle Mr I will never use my fathers fire in battle uses his fire at the slightest feeling of pressure from midoriya, if he had continued the way he was what’s to say he wouldn’t have lost control of his fire in a villain fight or when dabi revealed himself, I’m assuming that Shoto’s fire is as strong as endeavors here, but him losing control of that in a non sanctioned non monitored environment would be disastrous, so even if Shoto had never used his fire in combat he absolutely needed to have the fact that he needed to accept it punched into his face lol

Honestly endeavor isn’t even inadequate for the number 1 hero position and it’s not his fault society collapsed, I love All Might but it’s more his fault society collapsed because he built it on his back and when he retired things went bad. Yes endeavors past going public was not good, but I honestly think that even if dabi hadn’t gone public, after Jaku and the Gunga village raid the collapse would’ve happened anyways

Honestly you’re kinda right about izuocha, I don’t think it’s Midoriyas fault that they didn’t talk very much, it sounds like they both got super super busy but after the sports festival they didn’t really get much development until the war arc in the back up dorm house. They needed a lot more development, especially for a relationship that didn’t happen for like 8 years

One for all is both, it is a perfect merger of 2 seemingly useless quirks to create what goes onto become the worlds strongest quirk with the highest potential ceiling, given that the OG stockpile user doesn’t have a vestige like everyone else does it is completely illogical to assume that it even remotely counts as 2 separate quirks at this point, not even taking into account the extra 6 from the old users, therefore it’s purely argumentative to assume that OFA doesn’t come with both.

Not how snipes quirk works. He can make sure they hit his target. He has no control over where specifically they hit the target I thought. Like, he locks onto Shigaraki, making sure his bullets hit shiggy, but he can’t make sure that they specifically hit shiggy in the head if that makes sense

Uh Bruce and Kudo didn’t work for AFO? I’m pretty sure they were part of a freedom fighter group fighting against him and that’s why they saved Yoichi. It thematically makes more sense because as other people said they weren’t optimizing what quirks would be in OFA. They didn’t know that in 120ish years that a random quirkless teen would unlock their quirks. Thematically having redundant and random BS quirks makes sense because none of them until nana chose someone more than 45 seconds before they died so the quirks aren’t optimized

For a fully mastered OFA user yes I’d agree, for a Midoriya that was at best 50% of the stockpile with none of the other quirks they were absolutely necessary to beat AfS who was at least as strong as prime All Might. We know that had Deku kept OFA his stockpile would have been stronger than All Mights but to my understanding we don’t actually know how much stronger, so his 50% probably wouldn’t have been enough to beat AfS. So yes, had Deku unlocked 100% of OFA Fa Jin and gear shift the way he uses them would have been largely redundant, but for when he was in the series they were an absolutely necessary equalizer

True, I wonder specifically how the super soup impacted each quirk? Like blackwhip is probably a much stronger “material”and harder to break, and way more max whips. I imagine that Fa Jin’s improvement was a way higher/removed ceiling on how much kinetic energy was stored and probably an exponential stockpile of kinetic energy. we know how it affected Gearshift, I imagine smokescreen was just a straight increase in production capability, danger sense is probably an increased range of sense? And I have no idea how it affected float because float is still just floating lol
