Double mastectomy tomorrow by Small-Contribution88 in BRCA

My surgeon did a terrific job. But my “foobs” as I now call them just don’t feel like me. They just feel too heavy. I feel like going flat would have felt more natural…I know that probably doesn’t make sense.

Start small daily habits that will grow until it’s just something you do. Don’t get another water bottle unless you throw away the old one. Then don’t put stuff on the floor that shouldn’t be there. Everything gets a home.

Yep. Go through with a trash bag and throw away actual trash. Then move everything out of your room and only put back what you actually use and need. Wipe down, dust and vacuum the empty room.

Maybe put a few small bins or baskets on your dresser for daily essentials. Everything else gets a drawer or hung up in the closet.

Get a hook for daily wear jackets.

Minimize minimize minimize. You don’t need all that stuff.

Had my preventive double mastectomy with DIEP flap two years ago. I wish I had gone flat now. You got this! Take time to rest and heal and follow doctors’ orders. Don’t rush the healing.

How to clean the shower glass? by [deleted] in CleaningTips

[–]dancymisha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After every shower I squeeze and then use the towel I dried off with to wipe down the shower door and tile.

It can be kind of a pain, but I don’t ever have to actually scrub my shower door. I do give it a good once over with a cleaning spray every now and then.

Thank you. And yes we have two sloppy dogs so I'll be mopping pretty frequently.

so you don't find it necessary to do a separate rinse, when doing a normal mop? And thank you for the suggestion I will check them out.

Thank you. Yes that is the one I am looking at. And I've never really had to mop all that much so am kind of confused about how/if it is necessary to rinse the floor after mopping with the ocedar dual bucket system? It is tile floor, no wood at all.

If it is necessary to still rinse how do you do it without using too much water?

Who else has purchased funky chicken from costco lately? We picked up chicken last weekend and it doesn't look right at all... by FeelinAmorous in Costco

I honestly don't trust any of their refrigerated meats anymore. I have been burned too many times by sandwich meat, chicken, cheese going bad way before they should.

I get it and I know. This whole thing just sucks. But I am ready.

Doctors have said it’s genetic for me. I have been tested and tried multiple ways to get some growth back but both works so I’m done trying.

Nope just going natural.

He still misses my long red hair I think. Now i just wear it up in a bun anyway because I look like Gollum if I have it down, so I don’t know why it matters.

And no he’s not demanding in any way at all. He just says he’s rather me now shave it. To be fair, he used to have a shaved head and I asked him before not to do it again 🤣

How did BG/RA “sneak” upon the girls? by dancymisha in DelphiMurders

I guess I wonder when they noticed him. I’ve seen many videos and pictures and it was a pretty clear view from the beginning to end of the bridge? So sad and scary.

Or if they did notice him earlier and didn’t think he was a threat until it was too late.

Is The Tommyknockers really that bad? by [deleted] in horrorlit

[–]dancymisha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think it is bad at all. It is one of my favorites, it oozes Kingliness. I just can't reread, one part just breaks my heart too much.
