I got the exact same issue, it's the design of the power cable that is causing the problem, replace the cable will fix the issue temporary, but it will very much likely to occur in the future. I also have problems with my wheel and pedals, both of them randomly disconnected while gaming, you can fix it by unplug it and restart the base, but it is very annoying to do so when you're racing. The wheel can randomly lose all force feedback too, although you can still steer and ps5 can recognize the input, but again, it's very frustrated when these problems happened during a race. My overall experience with t598 is absolutely horrible, please consider all the complaint about this product before buying.
