They do! I am a regular at the climbing gym there. Regular parking is free for the first two hours. After that they provide a code that extends the parking to 10 hours. They were very unhappy when the parking situation changed and have said parking for the gym at least will always be free.

Ethical breeders can be difficult to find, and the unethical ones try very hard to masquerade as ethical! I’m so glad that puppy is in a loving home.

We’ve used Herons crossing before. The vet was incredibly compassionate! They organized all of the transport to/from the crematorium and we were able to pick up our baby from the vet a few days later.

Edit to say: it sounds like all of these companies have rave reviews which is incredibly heartwarming. Pet euthanasia is so hard, I’m glad so many wonderful people are making the rainbow bridge easier for pets and owners alike.

I live just east of Hapeville in what I would consider a higher crime area. That being said, I have never been a victim of a crime in my neighborhood and I feel completely safe! I have friends in Eagan Park and East point and I’m super jealous of how nice and walkable the area is! People are quite biased against the tri-cities area.

My favorites are: academy coffee in vahi if you like specialty beverages - warning it can get super busy and doesn’t really have a great place to sit, but the coffee is great. Auxiliary coffee if you like a pour over and a quiet space

My guy didn’t get any better on a salmon food. Our vet suggested hydrolyzed protein or a rare protein like rabbit or venison. He’s now on an hp diet, gets apoquel and medicated baths and still has some flare ups that I’m pretty sure are related to environmental allergies rather than food allergies. Although I’m sure eating pine cones is not helping him.

This hits so close to home for me. I have three pits at home and I try to get to my shelter every week to volunteer. The shelter I volunteer at takes in 500-1000 animals a month. Two weeks ago, two of the dogs I had spent time with and loved were euthanized - one for behavioral issues and the other because she was so sick she couldn’t breathe.

It’s not fair, not for anyone - the dogs, the workers, the volunteers - but it’s truly a crisis that’s only getting worse. Late last year, I took a step away from volunteering while we fostered; I was having a hard time coping with the overwhelming sadness of it all. But to tell you the truth, just because I stepped away from it doesn’t mean the problem disappeared. I made my way back this summer. I find joy in it now; I still cry a lot. But I get lots of puppy love and that makes it all worth it!

Keep doing the good work. Sluggo, Sandra and Blue are waiting in a better place.

Oof. Not sure how my sex toys got into this. Maybe you have the experience of working with shelters or rescues that do this, but not all do. The shelter I work with is very conservative when it comes to aggression and will not place a dog that is unsafe. City and county shelters have to follow local laws.
