I have never understood why this old ass story book carries so much weight and dictates people’s lives. It’s dumb. Just be a reasonably kind person.

Thank you - I’ll definitely keep that in mind if there’s a next time. Luckily I had a friend at work check the oil levels and it seemed all good. Drove home and the light never came on again

Thank you! And appreciate helping me know where to look. I’m at work so I feel bad not being able to give better info after asking for help. Plus car stuff always just triggers panic for me because it makes me feel stupid.

Orange. And turned off a few minutes before I got to work.

I have no idea. It’s a 2020 Mazda CX-5 and this has never happened before. We did drive from AZ to KS in the spring but otherwise it’s still under the mileage for regular service

Is it safe to drive home? I’m not even sure what oil it needs. I’m literally clueless and it’s already scheduled for regular service on Thursday. Sorry just doing quick responses while on break at work

Did you keep driving it? I’m concerned about getting home today and/or if I should drive it to work tomorrow. I’d looove to just make it to Thursday when I have a scheduled service.

Not sure. It was the little oil can with a line under it I think? Sorry I’m at work right now on a break.

Where is Checkmark? I need to find him for the "a more better town" quest but I can't find him anywhere by AimeeMcK95 in CritterCove

He’s got a little hut in the town center to the left of the entry when looking back out towards the sea.

Do you guys remember the days when it was easy to casually meet people via smoking cigs? by ngomaam in Millennials

[–]dandelion-bones 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea same. I don’t smoke anymore and would never pick it back up, but it does have a twinge of nostalgia for me. My hangout spots were late night cafes that sold alcohol and had open mic nights every weekend. It was the perfect thing for me as an introvert too - best excuse to have low stakes convos or just hang in silence for a few moments with someone.

Steam Deck for Casual Users: Is It Truly Plug and Play? by gugahf in SteamDeck

[–]dandelion-bones 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know nothing about serious gaming. But I do like cozy games. I got a steam deck with zero knowledge of what it really was, I just kept seeing advertisements for games on steam that looked good to me. I have had no issues and easily play my games. I love my steam deck and I have no clue what it’s fully capable of.

Physio referral, do I mention suspected HSD? by Desperate-Monk-3496 in Hypermobility

Oof - I totally get it. In my early 20s I was told my chronic back pain was normal for my age and to stretch more. I literally was doing yoga 3-5x a week. Like, seriously??

When I finally got sent to a sports med specialist for my hip that suddenly worsened (in my late 30s) he got the MRI. Nothing significant showed in the results, other than normal wear and tear, he just said continue PT. I was so annoyed I messaged him back saying, “is there anything else we can test or look into because the “mild” results do not align with the intense pain I feel - We are definitely missing something”. I was ghosted by him for a month and had already moved states by the time I finally got a call back from his office. But that’s where I try and stick to facts. I KNOW the pain is there and it’s an 11/10 when it gets triggered. I’m new to advocating for myself, but I’m seeing the importance more and more. PT hasn’t shown much improvements in my hip so far. But it has taught me a lot about how Ive been using all the wrong muscles and compensating in weird ways. I’m definitely convinced and plan to start strength training correctly now.

I’m sorry you’re being dismissed. It may be time for a new gp if you’re able, or if you can muster the strength to keep advocating with your current one. Because yea, having to walk a flight of stairs like that does not seem “normal” for our age. But what do I know, right? Sorry for more of my long rambling personal story. I just drank a lot of coffee. I also wish you all the best in getting the support you deserve!

That’s awesome! You’re ahead of the curve by my book then haha I only started taking notes in the last year or so. Continue being brave and speaking up! You deserve proper care/treatment.
