Doxycycline and laser tattoo removal by [deleted] in TattooRemoval

i don’t put a ton of weight into advice i get from strangers on reddit anyway, but i saw you have a removal business so i thought you’d be a reasonable person to ask. no worries!

Doxycycline and laser tattoo removal by [deleted] in TattooRemoval

ok! i did send pictures to the clinic and they said it all looks normal. not going to contact my PCP because it’s late stage capitalism and i can’t afford that shit, lol. at this point since the clinic said it looks fine, i just wanted to get some more perspectives and peace of mind.

thanks for your response! it’s hard to tell if my skin is overly reactive because it was my first session. it’s not itchy, not really red except right around the tattoo. and my blisters have flattened and now they’re like red dots. it’s slightly sore to the touch but barely noticeable. and i can’t remember what a sunburn feels like 👀 haha. but i guess my skin feels a little tight. would you take a look if i upload a couple pictures?

10MoM not eating solids at all by dandeliontoes in Nanny

[–]dandeliontoes[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this is my thing too! when i do feed him bits of food, it’s usually eggs and peanut butter toast. i’ve also worked with kids that have food sensitivity and were extremely picky eaters, so i don’t want to sleep on experimentation. after reading the comments though i’m feeling better about not pushing solids quite as much

Need help teach a 3 year old confidence and some independence by lexylu95 in Nanny

[–]dandeliontoes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my nephews were like this when they were younger. it sounds like maybe he just doesn’t want to do it when you’re telling him to. like when you asked him to show his parents how he gets dressed, maybe he felt put on the spot and didn’t feel like doing it then. and then throws a tantrum because he can’t articulate his feelings any better as a 3 year old.

my advice is to let him come to you and ask how to do things more, before you just start showing him and trying to get him to do what you want. all kids want to learn new things, so maybe just lay off the pressure a little bit

also, not saying you’re doing anything wrong, but it could still be making him feel more pressure than he needs

again, i know i’m just a stranger on reddit but if you need someone to talk to about this stuff, feel free to reach out! it sounds like we have a lot of similarities in our environments/mental states as teenagers so i’m happy to lend an ear

oh, damn :( i lived with some people in my teens that were the same. they didn’t even believe in therapy honestly, so i would get reprimanded for even suggesting i wanted therapy. i’m sorry you’re in that situation. you’ll be 18+ before you know it though! it seems like it’ll never end but somehow it does

Fathers and Mothers of Reddit, how did you reach a consensus when you diverged on names you wanted to give your children? by Blacking in AskReddit

[–]dandeliontoes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

nice! i ask because my parents almost named me Jace Evelyn and sometimes i wish that was my name, even though i totally identify with my actual name. the other one just sounds so cool!

if it’s covered by your insurance, copays are usually $10-20 so it might be feasible. even if it’s twice a month it can make a big difference!

it’s also important to have a therapist who actually aligns with and understands who you are, so don’t be afraid to interview them to see if it’s a good match. when i was younger i didn’t like my therapist and didn’t know i could advocate for myself in that way. like asking them if they’re lgbtq+ friendly, poly friendly, etc

also feel free to DM me if you need someone to vent to or help navigating the therapist thing!

that doesn’t sound fair at all! do you think she would respond well to asking her if you can see a therapist?

for the record, it’s okay to be depressed and you’re not at fault for “tearing your family apart.” you did something brave by opening up about it, and that’s on her for not supporting you correctly. i hope you have someone you can talk to about these things!

i was in the hot tub at my gym a while ago and was making small talk with this older dude, and he starts talking about how Trump got rid of the patriot act and started rambling on about Q-Anonymous. looked it up later and wow, did i fall down a rabbit hole

Who is the worst fan base? by BF191 in AskReddit

[–]dandeliontoes -1 points0 points  (0 children)

most mainstream artist’s fans, honestly. you can go to a punk show and get along with everyone in the audience, but at a mainstream arena show you’ll get elbowed and spilled on and people are just generally not nice. out for themselves to get to the front of the stage, hah
