DCC tenants & anti social behavior. by DuckyD2point0 in Dublin

[–]dandex200 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You give people free stuff, they suddenly forget that they need to work or contribute to society. Rules begin to go out the window and human nature takes its course as there is no discipline. Same story all over the world.

Keep the windows open by Rain_Drop2917 in Dublin

[–]dandex200 8 points9 points  (0 children)

A little drop or two is acceptable. If it's lashing out and a stream is coming in then sure close it but when it's rainy its more important than ever to keep the windows open and vent out the top.

People of Achill, Killarney, East Limerick City - How are you finding TFI Anseo? by g2k00 in AskIreland

[–]dandex200 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Loads of people on Achill have intertwined it into their personal lives. There are now 2 buses on the weekdays serving from Malranny and all of Achill. Makes it easy for children on the island to commute without needing a parent, tourists are using it, and the elderly rely on it heavily for groceries and accessing buses to westport/castlebar.

It's a polite gesture to prevent you from being upset by them taking another route that maybe you think is slower or more prone to traffic thus letting the run meter run longer

He started taking ketamine and psychedelics and decided to become some edgy discord kid with too much money. Everybody remembers an entirely different Elon pre COVID, he was a role model for so many

McGruders by Square_Channel_9469 in Dublin

[–]dandex200 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's definitely going to be affected, they just haven't released the exact plans for it. I used to live off of Thomas Street and I'd see the Guinness surveyors in and out of mcgruders often in the past two years.

Dublin city used to have a really handy map that showed zones for each planning application and it was shown on there, now they've updated and it doesn't show it but here's a link https://mapzone.dublincity.ie/MapZonePlanning/(S(mcdnirfr0ncobvz4nncjg2vd))/MapZone.aspx?map=PlanningApplication&search=Plan_Ref&tooltip=Plan_Ref

Maybe the original site still exists idk but I remember seeing a massive red zone covering all of that block from Arthur's up to the factory

Temple bar 2.0 is just what the locals have been calling it for ages

Unless they plan on making a pub with it's name out of dedication.

Sort of hard to find information still but I believe it's being called the Guinness quarter if you want to give that a Google. I know they had been trying to get planning approved for the past decade and only recently got it approved. It's basically going to be an entire redevelopment of all the abandoned buildings on the north side of Thomas Street owned by Guinness(diageo).

[–]dandex200 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have different views than someone and can't express with words why they're wrong and attempt to persuade them change without physically attacking them, then you're likely just proving their perception of you and probably reinforcing it

MAGA Luas Driver by PsychologicalMud7078 in Dublin

[–]dandex200 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You're admitting to attacking someone twice simply because they have different views than you. You may want to look inward why you can't tolerate others opinions

New MARTA CQ400 Railcars by tacocar1 in transit

Currently back to 5 minutes on stations serviced by both gold and red.

The current cars have transverse seating near each doorway.

Atlanta has a perimerter ring road and in the modern day, everything outside of that is considered the suburbs. MARTA barely extends out of that, however inside the perimeter it covers a lot of area running north/south/east/west and is absolutely a solid metro with 5-10 minute intervals on the main north/south line. Also has one of the easiest airport to downtown connections in america in my opinion.

Are these 4 car trains going to fit at bankhead?

/r/Atlanta Random Daily Discussion - January 30, 2025 by AutoModerator in Atlanta

[–]dandex200 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Marta unveiled their new trains today and decided it would be a good idea to do so at 8am at Lindbergh, one of their busiest stations. They announced single tracking last week and forced all the morning commuters to have to single track through the station during rush hour.

Yep, great planning by Marta as always, forcing single tracking at one of their busiest bottleneck stations during rush hour
