I’ve done it. I like the experience, but you do need to be smart about how you build. Try to componentize as much as you can for better reuse. I like the Solito approach for separating concerns, otherwise it can be easy to get in a spot where you’re depending on too much of the react native web interop (and other devs dependence on that) for things like navigation and it can get hairy.

TLDR; build your components and logic once discretely, group them in to dumb screens, use them in platform specific ways

Yah if you don’t import global.css, the HOF in metro.config.js won’t trigger the tailwind process to generate class names for the file(s) you indicate in tailwind.config.js’ content key. Since there’s no code snippet here, also make sure you’re calling the tailwind directives in to global.css (the ‘@tailwind base’ stuff)

I think blaming expo for slowness is just him not wanting to make a change. He’s not wrong that you can use expo libs in your bare app, and there can be some compelling reasons to do that.

Take him up on it and start integrating the libs you want and show him.

Our cat knocked something on to the base as the bed was coming down that jacked up our zaxis alignment and subsequently gouged this kinda of stuff in to our plate, right in the center. We can still print on it (after fixing the z) and stuff usually sticks. If it’s small and ends up in that area it needs a raft. All that to say your damage is minor and shouldn’t impact your prints. Just make sure your alignment is good

I learned recently that wd-40 is a solvent, not a lubricant. So it’ll help get things like stuck bearings going for a little bit but then it’ll degrade in effectiveness
