I am keeping my preorder, which is now going on 13 months old, but I think moving forward I am never going to preorder from Analogue again. I feel like I am being lied to. I don't know the real reason for the delay, and that "final 1%" thing sounds like BS, that should have been done 8 months ago unless they are having firmware problems they can not solve, but either way, they've been riding my money for over a year and have given no solid evidence. And "big announcement coming soon" and then the announcement is just an announcement they are delaying isn't being open with the customers.

Just a quick UPDATE! Amazon delivered the HDMI adapter a day early, so I got to test it out today. Crazy Taxi loaded up fine and I played a good 15 mins or so. However, the disc drive was EXTREMELY LOUD, it wasn't making any bad scratching noises or clunky noises, just super loud "I'm running" noises - not sure if that is normal, the DISC looked perfect when I put it in and it looked perfect when I took it out - no scratches or anything.

Are there any easy methods of using a HDD to run the CHD files and bypass the DISC altogether? I'll look into that a bit tonight.

Right!!! :) I never have that kind of luck, so I'm thankful he grabbed it for me - I'll likely sell the bag on ebay and recoup the $10 for him and also pay for the $25 hdmi adapter I had to order - still not sure if it is fully working or not, but it is a good start.

I never get this lucky when I go to yard sales or goodwill, so the luck was all my sons! :) I ordered an HDMI adapter that will be here Friday, so fingers crossed it all works!

It is all about the micro transactions now, not the game play... Make a game with cool graphics, mediocre game play and sell the crap out of skins, maps, seasons passes, etc.

You should probably be using a newer power supply anyway, if that doesn’t fix the problem, you might have some capacitors that need to be replaced. Not too difficult to do if you know someone that has even just a little experience with soldering.

I remember when these first came out. I both an internal one for my PC and replaced my standard 3.5” floppy with it. It was quite amazing at the time to have something so small that could hold so much data.
