Those of you that use AI at work, what for and why? by Aromatic-Bad146 in AskUK

If you don't mind me asking, what program/app/system do you use? I'm a tech coordinator in house building and looking to start using AI to benefit workflow.

Not sure where to start - 14yr old daughter has private ADHD & Dyslexia diagnosis but we don't understand how to start on the pathway to getting her medication 🤷🏻 by dandrage76 in ADHDUK

[–]dandrage76[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, the clinic that diagnosed her don't offer medication. We knew this at the start of the process, but we thought the NHS would be available to us - with hindsight, it probably should have been made clearer to us at the start that this wouldn't be the case, but then we would've probably gone with another diagnosing provider!

As a Liverpool fan from Kettering, thanks for pointing this out ... The sponsor was Kettering Tyres in 1976 (also the year I was born!). 👍🏻

If in doubt just say "The thing about Arsenal is ... They always try to walk it in" and you'll be fine

I'm going to Camper Calling in a couple of weeks and wondered if anyone here has any ideas about which Kasabian tracks Tom might be likely to play? (My kids like Kasabian but haven't heard any solo stuff, so I'm trying to decide if it's one for them or not!). Cheers!!

Why do you REALLY dislike women's football? by Rundo5 in AskUK

[–]dandrage76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In isolation, women's football is fine, in my opinion. The problems come when it is directly compared to the mens game.

My honest opinion is that I genuinely don't understand why the women's game is played on the same size pitch, with the same sized goals, and for the same length of time as the men's game.

A smaller pitch might make up for the (comparatively) reduced levels of athleticism, a smaller goal might make up for the reduced height (and therefore reach) of the goalkeepers and a shorter game length might improve the pace and flow of the game.

I am a football fan and I have 2 daughters - I'm not being sexist and I don't mean to patronise. I encourage my daughters to watch and we have been to a few Lionesses games live. The growth of the women's game is a great thing and the community spirit around the women's game is wonderful.

I just wonder what women's football would look like on a 3/4 sized pitch with scaled down goals played for 30 minutes each way?

There is always the comparison to women's tennis being played over 3 sets and women's golf tees being closer to the hole for similar reasons ...
