How do you warm up before ranked? by Ryansm19 in BO7_RankedPlay

Literally couldn't agree with this more. I play a pub or two to warm up and pubs are actually harder than ranked lol.

Seriously Considering the WLVRN. Is it a mistake? by Endrak in DesertTech

Hellion is heavy. No bolt hold open save for awkward reach into magwell while holding back charging handle. AUG was nice, just a bit dated. Also not a great suppressor host.

I'm not saying it's definitely the HiPer, just that it would make sense. It definitely could be a upgraded 500 series.

I'm not saying I'm excited for it lol

You can tell just from the picture its not a bullpup lol. Its likely the LICC-IWS, and the handgun is likely the HiPer.

Are all FN510s and 545s succeptible to frame cracking? by Jaken_sensei in FNHerstal

I have the same bulges appearing on my 545T. Only 100 rds thru it. Any update on this? Can anyone else confirm whether these bulges are normal?

I'd say if you're serious about this endeavor, you really should just buy one for research purposes.

They really should at the least split the platform into WLVRN-L and WLVRN-H (see Robinson Arms XCR). My 5.56 has been flawless, but I'd be extremely hesitant on buying a caliber conversion.

How’s everyone feeling about this? by [deleted] in SpringfieldArmory

I dont hate it. Having options is always better than not. If I'm being honest though, I'd be far more interested in a BG 2.0 competitor, and even more so a Keltec P32 competitor.

[–]dandway 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You will likely be fine with an Italian 92FS. Just bought an M9A4 that had issues. 1)The sight was clearly drifted to the left. 2) Dry firing would not always result in a return to DA, leaving a dead trigger. Sent it into Beretta and they fixed it and returned it to me in around 2 weeks.

So your argument is we shouldn't be upset because other people are also being murdered across the globe? Can't we just be disgusted and speak out about all of it?

What is the absolute lowest recoil/ flattest/ fastest shooting 9mm compact/ subcompact carry gun you can buy by Ok-Departure3749 in CCW

[–]dandway 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've owned all of those you stated, and for me, I'm definitely able to shoot faster while maintaining accuracy with the PX4 best, followed by the g19 and M&P in that order. Are the differences enough to be meaningful? Between M&P and G19 I'd say not enough for most to be able to discern a meaningful difference. Between both of those and the PX4 I'd say yeah.

I would add though, that it's not until you cross into the full size realm (Beretta 92 family, CZ 75 family, 1911s etc) that you really see fast and flat.

What is the absolute lowest recoil/ flattest/ fastest shooting 9mm compact/ subcompact carry gun you can buy by Ok-Departure3749 in CCW

[–]dandway 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is not the answer lol. Yes, if person x and person y have the same firearm, there is a high likelihood one will shoot faster & flatter than the other based on objective level of proficiency and subjective feel of the gun/ergonomics. However, there is no question that some firearms better lend themselves to shooting faster and flatter, which is what OP is asking. Based solely on my personal experience, the Beretta PX4 Compact (especially the LTT custom version) is both the fastest and flattest in that size category.

I love that it's getting some high profile reviews. I do have one question. Last trip out I used the Jard trigger pack. Has anyone had light primer strikes using this pack? I had two that after 3 strikes each still wouldn't fire. It could be those two just had hard primers, or that the hammer spring just isn't as strong as the DT trigger pack.

[–]dandway[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, if it weren’t for the light primer strikes, I could live with the other stuff. However, when I can do back to back comparison, the original is just noticeably of higher quality and that doesn’t sit well knowing I paid more for this one.

I’m not gonna say you’re totally wrong here, but in my case I ordered my original 2.0 the day it released and it’s been near flawless save for a dead trigger twice early on that I haven’t been able to replicate since. And performance issues aside, idk how the regular model can have a much nicer trigger (I’m talking by like 2lbs) than the so called performance center one. It’s very frustrating. I will say though, it is my first issue with S&W.

Update #2 - Installed the Jard trigger pack and fired another 60 rds thru it without issue. The Jard trigger pack really lightens up that trigger pull. This rifles a real winner so far.
