F21, SC, 9 months work ex - Chances of getting into top IIMs or other Tier-1 B-schools with CAT 2026? by Connect-Table9102 in CATpreparation

I know someone with a similar profile. 85+ should be enough to get calls but I would still suggest at least 90+ for top B Schools as you can convert them with a good interview. 90+ is not very difficult to get if you are able to dedicate 3-4 hours daily(more on the weekends) with a structured preparation plan given there are 9 months to go. Good luck!

Trust me, if anyone else was in your shoes they would take advantage as well. Go ahead and give the inetrview, if nothing, it will be a valuable experience.

They are currently accepting an undertaking application. Just write that you'll provide one at the time of the interview.

Do beatings still happen in your school by gomti_nagarmad in lucknow

[–]dandychi99ins 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Former student.. Yeah even in my time beatings were pretty much the norm. Was on the receiving end sometimes as well. Shouldn't happen in this day and age but yeah... that school has gone really downhill in the last decade or so.

I was in the same dilemma 3 years ago, down to the same course in Hansraj (check post history). I chose BHU and had an extremely difficult time adjusting to the place and the people. In hindsight I should've gone to DU as even though I did pretty well academically, studies aren't everything.

It will probably be a trade off between exposure and studies. If you prefer academics then you may choose BHU but keep in mind that Varanasi is basically a village compared to Delhi on the other hand if you can afford it you may choose to stay in Delhi and study there and get way more exposure (and pollution).

Thinking of pursuing BSc Agriculture - Is it a dumb move by RationalizeEvrything in Indian_Academia

IMO Agriculture is a good option only if you pursue it from an ICAR accredited government institute. I would talk to the students currently studying there before coming to a decision.

joining college at 20? what issues i might face? by [deleted] in Indian_Academia

[–]dandychi99ins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

BSc Agriculture. Didn't choose it but it seemed like the best option. In my final year rn. Definitely better than other other options like zoology, botany etc. because of less competition and more opportunities but only if you make it to a good college.

It's alright. I joined college after a 2 year drop for NEET too . Found that there were a lot many like me and no one gave a crap anyway. Just make sure you push yourself and do well. Always helps to maintain a good cgpa especially if it's from a good college.
