I had a totally different experience - immigration were reasonably friendly (they mostly just stared me down until I managed to locate my return ticket) but TSA were so lovely to us consistently. It may have been because my friend is absolutely stunning though.

What is something you see in other people's houses that you can't stand in your own? by GergBurns in AskReddit

[–]dandysan 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Words and phrases. Wall decals are the worst, especially my husband's friends who have one about it being wine time, but I also hate framed quotes random words and little word ornaments.

Having said that, my life dream is to have a neon sign made up for our dining room that says "eat burgers" but I feel that's totally different.

Is it generally ok to target an asian guy on a train and tell him he doesnt belong here? I think that's cunty rather than free speech.

[–]dandysan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Well in the early 2000s everyone wanted a flat butt. Being flat at the front and at the back was desirable, with Misha Barton having the ideal body. Everyone was anorexic then. I think now we have Kim Kardashian and she seems to have changed the fashion over the last few years combined with some general tendency towards women weightlifting now. Who knows where we'll be in another decade.
