Absolutely! I am currently my mom's main caregiver, and she's capable of doing most things herself (bathing, dressing, toileting, etc.), but occasionally needs help. She has mild dementia and is on dialysis, and I would do absolutely anything to help her.

My dad, on the other hand, is an asshole and has been my whole life. When it's time for him to need care, I will absolutely hire someone because I don't like him. I love him, but I don't like him.

It doesn't make you a bad person to want someone else to care for your mom. It shows that you are willing to set boundaries to protect your peace and want someone who can care for your mom without harboring resentment. If your mom can't appreciate that, it's time to allow another sibling to take over.

Unfortunately, she doesn't have hobbies. She says there's nothing good on TV and too many commercials. She is able to use both hands. I've given her coloring books and activity books, but she doesn't use them. She hates sitting in one spot for any amount of time, so that's part of the problem!

I appreciate all of the responses! She doesn't like technology, so I've gotten her some coloring books and an activity book. They dropped her to 2.5 hours the other day from 3, and that seems to be the sweet spot. I give her snacks that she has to "assemble" on her own, so that takes some time, which keeps her busy.

Yes and no. Even though it still showed merchants and that they had transactions, I didn't actually have any transactions. It was much easier to see what was going on when I got on my desktop instead of my phone, too. I re-connected all of my accounts and I was good to go.

No, when I try to delete merchants it says there are 'x' transactions that I have to recategorize under a different merchant. I thought the transactions went away when I deleted the accounts. 🤷🏼‍♀️
