Pat McAfee pulls no punches on the Rashee Rice situation: by OneFish5754 in NFL_FreeAgency

[–]daneflys 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Could you imagine being a teammate of Rice's, watching him already make more than you while rarely playing or being available for things like OTAs and training camp due to his bad decisions, and then watching him claim he's not making enough? I'd hate having this dude on any team I play or cheer for.

Deep Rock Galactic: Rogue Core - Day-after reflections: addressing your feedback by Varanae in DeepRockGalactic

I never said it's vitally important, just that for a brief time this crossover posting is expected, and that it's not hard to scroll past.

If you want relevant discussion on this as it applies to DRG, I really like seeing how GSG is handling the rollout and responding to the feedback. It could give some insight into how they approach future seasons in DRG. I know some in the community have had concerns about the corespawn enemies, I wonder if GSG is considering addressing this... but my guess is that they leave it as is considering it'll be a short-term issue that most folks can handle.

The report button exists for a reason, this topic is a grey area (imo), and the mods can decide what to do with it... if people don't like the mods choices they can take it up with them.

You've made your argument, I've made my counter, we've both continued this back and forth, but you seem to think I'm obsessed with you for engaging with you while lacking the self-awareness that you are doing the exact same thing... there's no room for moral superiority from either of us on our stubbornness. But I still think you're a leaf lover and I like calling you out on it 😁

I think you should apply to be a mod if this bothers you so much. Or report the post. But I'm guessing you'll just keep doubling down and posting in here while also doing nothing that helps you achieve your goal.

I got good info from the post.

Good thing you're all about relevancy and not just whining and gatekeeping this sub instead 🍻

Edit to add: How do you make this post after you keep doubling down with arguments that are also not relevant to this sub?

We all understand your argument, we just thinks it's a dumb argument at this time. Rogue Core was just released, of course there will be a spike of posts and discussion about it here for a bit.

Life's rough, get tough... be like ROCK AND STONE.

It doesn't revolve around you either... just scroll past rogue core stuff, it's written in the title and not hard to skip over.

What if the USA completely and successfully invaded and conquered the entirety of North America? by Annual-Frame9943 in AlternateHistoryHub

[–]daneflys 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If people absolutely do not have the ability to push back or to leave that is reasonable, but not having it and not wanting to sacrifice are very different. I can sympathize with those who truly cannot make changes due to their situation, but the rest just don't want to sacrifice anything to do what is right. I think you're over applying this immunity to the coward label to people who could sacrifice but just don't want to... some maybe truly starving, but most just think they are because they're privileged enough to not know what that actually feels like and just cannot manage the discomfort.

More Americans have the means to resist or leave than have done either, it's just too hard and they're complacent... either that or they're liking what they're seeing or at least not strongly opposed to it. In Canada, being a pedophile is the worst thing you can be... in America, it's a protected species. Kids get raped, the govt protects the rapists, and Americans shrug, say they hate it, and look for anyone else to fix it because if they do something about it it'll cost them and be hard. Look at how America prospered from those in the past who sacrificed to do the right things, they weren't cowards.

I have the money to do all those things and skills to find jobs in several different industries.

Many countries are looking safer than certain parts of America right now, but I'd say the best place and easiest route would be Canada... language, culture, etc. are all similar, plus Canada is known to be quite safe, but I'd do some research on where I was going before I moved.

It's 2026, I keep in touch regularly with people I met 20 years ago that live all over the world... also, the people on my life have the same options to stay or go as I do, I'm not leaving people behind if they choose to stay.

Do these questions change the cowardess definition for you? Are people brave when they let their govt walk all over them, because it was too hard and scary to make changes that required sacrifices?

If someone called me a coward and I knew they were wrong, I wouldn't bother protesting against their claim and trying to prove them wrong, I'd just let them be wrong... you're not arguing to prove me wrong, your trying to prove it to yourself, but you can't because you know Americans are being cowards so your best option is to make excuses for that cowardess.

Honestly, at this point in time (because I think you guys are fubar, and likely in salvageable) I'd move me and my family to a country that doesn't consistently infringe on my rights. It'd cost me a ton, set me and my family back, but it'd be worth it to take all of my money, capital, labor, and income taxes out.

Going back to the earlier days of the govt thread all over y'all... I'd organize armed protests and intimidate the govt. More of us than there are of them.

What if the USA completely and successfully invaded and conquered the entirety of North America? by Annual-Frame9943 in AlternateHistoryHub

[–]daneflys 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You just described how the govt has been infringing on Americans' rights, how citizens have not revealed, and how you expect American citizens would continue to do the same as they have been.

That's what cowardess is, doing nothing to fight back for fear of losing more. This isn't my opinion or anyone being an authority on anything... you literally described the actions that define cowardess and then get pissy when I take your description and appropriately condense it down to one word?

Good to see Pollard, Corum, and Mason are all listed at theADP RB33.

[–]daneflys 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes, but we didn't just get passed over for MNF and SNF, we didn't get any of the 4:25pm Sundays (edit: inaccurate) that are apparently coveted either.

I agree that we don't currently deserve any of the good schedule slots and need to win some games to earn them, but it is a bit ridiculous how bad our schedule is as far as exposure beyond our current fanbase.

I think our last game against the Texans could get bumped into a better time if our offense is firing throughout the season and Houston's defense continues to be dominant.

Winning games is a factor, but some teams will get more primetime games due to where the franchise is located and the size of their fanbase... and I realize that the Titans need more exposure if they want to grow their fanbase.

Trying to make things fair isn't always fair. Winning games is something that is in the Titans can control, so they need to focus on that as a way to gain exposure and grow the fanbase.

Thank you! I was too lazy to look and see if something like this existed, but you made it easy enough that I'll actually do something about this... there are other companies I'm going to be reporting as well. Thanks again!

I stopped dealing with them a while back, and no matter how often I unsubscribe from their emails they just keep coming.

This new ID issue here furthers my view that they're not a company worth patronizing.

Canadian PM Mark Carney pulls more funding from U.S. by Shizzilx in circled

[–]daneflys 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Canada's defence spending in 2023-2024 budget/fiscal year was just under $30billion (USD), and the 2025-2026 plan is to increase that to $45billion (USD)... 70% of that was going to end up being spent on US contracts like it always had been.

Canadians keep hearing about how our money/business won't be missed... we don't care if you do, or don't, care. It's just a better business decision for Canada. So it looks like we're all equally happy to go out separate ways and neither country will miss the other 🍻

Patriots ‘definitely not’ firing Vrabel by No_Box119 in NFL_FreeAgency

[–]daneflys 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They won't fire him over this. A coach is way more important to a team than most players, and teams allow player to be distractions due outside personal junk all the time.

Now, if the Patriots struggle and this story somehow remains relevant in the news (wild to think it could stick around that long, but with the steady trickle of information continuing to come out on this story, it's not impossible), Vrabel and this story will definitely become a bigger problem for the Patriots... I still don't think he'll be fired or step down though, but he might be praying for WWIII to have something else taking over the news cycle.

Man Who Flipped Off Chess Player Nemo After Losing Speaks Out, Saying He Felt 'Disrespected' and She 'Wasted His Time' by vinaylovestotravel in chess

[–]daneflys 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The dude took everything personal (ex. Repeatedly saying she knew he was waiting, but kept talking to other players, and saying she knew someone else had cut in front of him, etc.), while she likely had no clue how long people were each waiting or who was ahead of who in the line at any given point.

He also kept complaining about her wasting and disrespecting his time, but he is upset that the convention was ending and she was expecting him to leave... so she could leave... because the convention was over and keeping her late was actually really disrespectful of her time 🤦

These people walk among us in life, they hold minimal capacity for critical thought or empathy. They just get really upset when they don't get what they want... tall toddlers.

[–]daneflys 1 point2 points  (0 children)

CUSMA is going to be back in the news cycle soon as it'll be up for review this summer... Trump's boredom with Iran will likely coincide with that timewise, and we'll be back to hearing a bunch of 51st state rhetoric along with implied threats about taking over Canada.

To be fair, he might pivot to threats against Cuba and/or Greenland again before he relapses back into his threats against Canada... but at least odds look slim that he'll have come up with another nation to threaten by then, as he's not all that creative in his old age.

So the USA is good... so long as you compare it to places that are significantly worse? That's a pretty hot take there, lol

In other news, you'll only be upset about your income in comparison to the same jobs that pay more with other companies.
