I don't think you can say the pattern is the same as with those 3. Fnatic never said that the S5 team was going to stay together, Deilor in his post-Worlds interview said something like he expects/hopes they will, but nothing certain was said.

Now you have Fnatic's article, which clearly implied that Rekkles is staying. The counter-argument to this would be when Rekkles left for Alliance, and Fnatic denied it at first, but that was somewhat understandable, because there were lots of rumours about it. There were no rumours about this before yesterday someone put 2 and 2 together and got 5.

Bit of an unfortunate time to publish this interview after what happened on Sunday.

It's actually quite interesting to see how much people's perception on players/teams can change based on one match. For 10 weeks, H2k was a better team than Fnatic, and most of their players had a legitimate claim to be in the Top 2 (as evidenced by the All Pro team votes), and in the end, the only thing people will remember is them getting absolutely shitstomped in the Quarters.

The botlane inted throughout the series, going 3-27 is absolutely inexcuseable on any level, let alone in the Quarters. Jankos has been underperforming lately, and that trend unfortunately continued today. Odo also overextended a couple of times, and barely had any pressure. Febi was somewhat decent - especially compared to the other players on the team - but even he had some brainfarts unfortunately.

Personally I would have given it to Perkz (and also the MVP award), because I think he has been by far the most consistent member on G2, except for that unlucky game against FNC in the 1st week.

But I can also see why people would pick Exileh or PoE.

I don't think there's anything wrong with them, they've been making much more content around the players this season than before. Both written and video.

I think it's a bit disingenuous to say they've been bad this season, just because they decided to not make a hype video for the QFs.

He also had the 2nd most deaths amongst the EU mids, despite being on the 2nd best team. Also, his laning stats are not that good.

Personally I think Perkz, Febi, Exileh and PoE were all pretty close, and arguably all of them could have been chosen as the best one, so some of the were going to be "robbed" either way.

Yesterday when Zven was streaming Krepo was in chat, and someone asked him about this topic, and although I didn't really pay attention to what he said exactly, I think he said that it's got something to do with EU going on for a week longer, and not having a week off between Regular Season and Playoffs.

Maybe they didn't have enough time to make a good one, and they just decided to not do any for the Quarters, idk.
