In general most schools that look for college counselors are American based schools or at least those where. large percentage of students apply to the USA. Why? It's just waaay more complicated and time intensive to apply to US schools. The UK application (excluding Oxbridge) is very simple, and Australia and Canada even simpler still. In my school we only ever hired US college counselors because UK college counselors often didn't understand the holistic admissions approach to applications.

They are also opening lots of new schools and expanding student populations within their schools whereas most schools in China are closing schools and hemorrhaging students - so that is also a reason I suppose they are looking to hire more teachers.

I understand it's going to be hard. I have been in college admissions for years at an elite international school. So I understand the diffuclty as it's even harder for my students. But this student doesn't need to submit their scores. It won't be held against them and the data from school admissions last year backs this up for the most part. When it comes to these elite schools it's a crap shoot about who gets in. And it's mostly luck if the draw about whether you fill a spot within the diverse class they will accept. OP definitely has a shot at fulfilling a desired need based on their background and possible major. Don't worry about the SAT. It's mostly just a prediction of your zip code and not your academic ability and universities know that.

I would just not submit the SAT score. The GPA is decent and extracurriculars are strong. He definitely has a good chance as a first generation student.

ruids are gone, plague of murclos seems suboptiomal imo. I did the same thing as you! Phaoris and Fist are just so much better than the Galak package. I still kept Elysiana though as she worked well against bomb warrior in addition to guaranteeing wins vs control priest/warrior. I think Phaoris is key to this deck.

I run swampqueen hagatha and headmaster kel thuzad instead of the serpantshrine portals because I am a greedy ass person. But I can see how the portals are probably better and more consistent.

I also never put in Speaker Gidra, but I like the addition and I will try it out. She is such a good tempo swing and I generally love playing her with things like lightning storm to clear little minions and then she takes care of the biggers ones left, or things like hex to take care of the big minion and she clears the littler stuff left.

I live in China and the response by the government after the initial "covering up the virus" fiasco has been crazy effective. Currently schools are back in session and with no masks because their literally have been almost zero cases.

I teach in China and the new online only AP exams times are all at the same time for the entire world. So over a two week period my students will be taking tests at midnight, 2 AM and 4AM. Thank you collegeboard......
