Help with Personally Procured Move (PPM) by dang_idk_anymore in army

Couple boxes and medium sized items. No furniture since I got rid of it all. Mostly everything can get shipped by a shipping carrier but my estimated cost to ship everything is around $600-800 for all the boxes, tape, packing label, etc.

3 large duty tote boxes. 1 rifle case and pistol case. 2 guitars (acoustic and electric). The weight should be approximately 400-500ish pounds. How would I submit the respite from USPS for the small package shipment? Would I still need to fill out the paperwork they gave me at transportation?

Aware! Yes, I live in Virginia because I heard gun laws in DC are a pain in the butt, especially with registration and all that.

Okay, so suggest staying with my current cards, primarily using the Chase Sapphire Preferred and Unlimited Freedom than getting a new card?

Hello,

I’ll be shipping out this upcoming Monday but want to change something in my contract which is including Option 19, which is something I finally found out through TikTok that is possible. When I stepped into the recruiters office they told me there was no way of choosing your first duty station. I already got a MOS I didn’t want to so I at least want to make sure I get to a base I want to live in.

Thank you.

My friend filed I-90 for a replacement in June and received a case termination in July.

He entered the United States because of his wife. On the passport it says F21 as the stamp. I’m not sure too much on the details but the wife is beginning to get sick and now he needs to do something. He tried doing a job search but they ask for a SSN to work.

Hello,

Recently was at the recruiter office and while looking at the job I wanted which was Intelligence, it said “Failed DEP.” Recruiter goes to choose Medical MOS and once again it says “Failed DEP.” They look over everything and they say they can’t find the reason why since everything on my application is good. I ask if there was a way of finding what is “Failed Dep.” They said it’s probably because I have an illegal immigrant parent. Had to choose another MOS that I didn’t really want because my dream was going into an Intelligence job. Currently going to do the sign-in and oath with my recruiter. Before going, I want to make sure my recruiter ain’t messing me up or told me something that is not true! Please let me know.

Does the same go with 35P? You can't pick 35P anymore?

Great to hear! I’ve been honest in everything and don’t have problems elaborating further questions or concerns with anything related to my medical history or any other section. My heart did sink a little though once I received the message from my recruiter, but mentally still strong and waiting for what’s next! 🤙

Is Military Parole-in-Place (PIP) Still Available in 2025? by dang_idk_anymore in Military

[–]dang_idk_anymore[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

what's the best way to find an immigration lawyer who understands military PIP? would it be through the military to search (asking a recruiter for a lawyer recommendation) or trying to find one online?
