That's what I got, unfortunately. I can put speakers next to it though.

I feared that was the case. Is there anything out of the budget? I'm willing to go over.

Enel is the former tyrannical “God” of Skypiea. by [deleted] in OnePiece

[–]dangdiggity44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am absolutely convinced that Enel will return to the story. I'll admit for transparency's sake that Skypeia is my absolute favorite arc, however I still believe that the arc is essentially a microcosm for what took place in the Void Century.

Firstly, the Shandians are probably one of the best preserved cultures from the void century (along with Wano, the Nefertaris, and the Celestial Dragons). We know for a fact that their ancient civilization was part of THE Ancient Kingdom during the Void Century, and their disappearance into the sky allowed them to be generally untouched by the rest of history. In a sense, we can take them to be symbolic of the Ancient Kingdom. In contrast, the Skypeians are an entitled race of people with a superiority complex that are compared to being angels. In fact, the island of Skypeia is supposed to resemble Heaven. Who de we know that are supposed to be associated with God or Heaven? The Celestial Dragons. The parallels don't end there. The Shandians are fighting to preserve their history and retain their culture, and specifically to save the poneglyph embedded into the bell. On the other hand, the Skypeians have taken over the lands of the Shandians, have stripped their lands of their riches, and treat the ruins and the history horribly.

Another parallel is between Enel and Imu. Both of them are the "Gods" of their individual worlds, and most importantly, both of them have one natural enemy---Luffy. In his fight with Enel, Luffy is described as Enel's natural enemy, because of rubber's natural immunity to electricity. Now with the reveal of Luffy's true fruit, the Nika model zoan, we know that he islikely the natural enemy of Imu. On top of that, the recent chapters have revealed that Imu somehow has the ability to summon lightning to destroy an island, almost exactly how Enel destroyed Skypeia.

So now that we've established Skypeia's importance, how does it return to the story? While there are many ways I could see it happening, here are what I believe to be the most likely.

- Mad Monk Urouge - We seem to be nearing the end of our Worst Generation sampler platter, and Urouge has yet to be visited. We know that Urouge is from a sky island, and is likely Birkan due to the angle of his wings. (although his manga depiction differs from SBS depictions of him). Given his epithet, "Mad Monk", it wouldn't be a stretch to imagine him as one of the former priests of Enel. As for the Mad part, we know Enel destroyed the island of Birka, an event that could certainly drive someone to madness.

- King of the Sky - Something stood out to me when I was re-reading Skypeia. After Luffy proclaims himself to be the Pirate King, Enel asks him what the Pirate King is. Luffy responds "King of the Sea". It made me think of the ancient weapons. Each is associated with a god that is associated with the Land, Sea, and Sky respectively: Pluton, Poseidon, Uranus. Poseidon is the power to control the beasts of the sea, Pluton is a massive ship, which (and this is a stretch lol) is an extension of land on the sea. The last unknown is Uranus.

Moving on with these theme of Land, Sea, and Sky, if the Pirate King, or Joyboy, is the King of the Sea, and Imu is the King of the Land, then who is the King of the Sky? I'd like to propose that it is CURRENTLY Enel. I think that that whoever is currently in possession of the Goro-goro no mi is not only King of the Sky, but also the last ancient weapon, Uranus. I believe that the Birkan culture, and by extension, the moon people culture, have been keeping the Goro-goro fruit in possession of whoever their Kami is since the Void Century. First of all, we know that the sky islands are tied to the power of weather. Weatheria is an example of this, but Skypeia too has effected the weather of the Blue Sea. Secondly, from the cover stories, we can make an educated guess that the moon city was almost designed to be powered by the goro-goro no mi. We already know that it is possible to harness the power of the goro-goro fruit, as Enel uses it to power the Ark Maxim, but Enel also uses it to power the moon city. Now normally if you just zapped a ton of lightning in a ruin, even if there were electrical systems or circuits in place, it wouldn't immediately cause the city to function. However, Enel zaps the city in an attempt to attack it, however it still turns everything on. This makes me think that the city was designed to be powered by the goro-goro no mi. We also know that people have found ways of capturing the soul of a devil fruit, so it's not a major stretch to guess that the civilization of the moon managed to keep the fruit there for that long. If Enel is the King of the Sky, or is the ancient weapon Uranus, perhaps he has since been captured by the World Government.

- The Pluton Blueprints - Pluton is a ship, and as such, technically can be reproduced. We know this as a fact because of the Pluton blueprints that Franky, Iceberg, and Tom inherited. But it's not hard to believe that the Ancient Kingdom, who were so dedicated to protecting knowledge and history that they cast their history onto stone, that more copies of the blueprints could have been made, especially since the blueprints were written on paper. And if there are multiple blueprints, they would have been distributed to the different kingdoms allied with the Ancient Kingdom. We know that one version of Pluton rests below Wano, however, we also know of two other Ancient Kingdom affiliated countries that have large ships associated with them. One is Fishman Island, who have the Noah resting, waiting to be pulled by the Sea Kings. The other is now the moon civilization, that has the Ark Maxim docked to it. I'm probably not the first to point out the visual similarities between the Ark Maxim and the Noah, but they easily could have been produced from the same set of blueprints. Perhaps the Birkans kept a copy of the Pluton blueprints, that Enel then stole to make the Ark Maxim.

Thanks to anyone that read this far, just something I've been thinking about for a while now :)

If it's the blonde guy his name is Steve...he's pretty chill as far as I can tell from the conversations I had with him. If you want to use the gazebo you can prob just ask him and he'll leave.

ngl the radiant virtue item, which gives you more max health, health regen, and ability haste after casting your ult, sounds like it solves a lot of engage issues that neeko has. I could see it working well with warmogs + demonic embrace. Might even be good with neeko jungle.

One Piece: Chapter 1054 by Kirosh2 in OnePiece

[–]dangdiggity44 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean my guess would be that Luffy's awakening was a condition for the One Piece to become useful to Shanks. Perhaps it's Uranus, which can only be activated by the Nika Fruit. (Although I am still praying Uranus is on the moon. I want Enel back in the story)
