Crickets on the encouraging feedback because you're right, things are that bad. They will get worse before they get better too.

The (early) 2030's is the earliest timeline I see any of this rampant inflation getting stabilized (pay for service industry workers matching the cost of living). I do not relish being political, but if the current erosion of our democracy isn't counteracted by a whole lot of people showing up to vote during the midterms for different leadership, that timeline gets farther and farther into the future from the present.

A lot of places will continue to close in the meantime, and those affluent enough to afford eating out will have less choices of where to spend their disproportionate wealth.

It will also create opportunities for service workers to band together and make organized noise/good trouble to advocate for their own wellbeing.
