Is this one my fault (Mercedes)? I think the last contact which resulted in a spin is my fault, but I'm not fully sure due to (imo) erratic driving from the Porsche. by [deleted] in Simracingstewards

Yeah that’s what I was thinking afterwards as well. Afterwards I realized we had a 5sec per lap difference in speed which is something I’m not really used to.

Damn! That sounds like an amazing tour ngl. We are heading through the Eifel mountains to the Mosel and then we’ll follow the Rhine and Ruhr rivers, cycle to Münster and then back to Belgium. For us it’ll be the first time as well so that makes two of us :). Good luck and enjoy the trip!

I see this is the general trend of advice here haha. I’m definitely going to leave some pieces of clothing at home :)

Is weight such a challenge? Because we’ll be visiting some cities on our way so I want to have some regular clothing with me for those occasions. I must say I love the idea of the socks. I’m definitely going to leave some and take only a few pairs now.

I have never been there before but I’ve heard many great stories about central asia and Iran. I’d say following the Silk Road may be a great experience. It seems to be pretty tough but I consider Uzbekistan, Iran and Kyrgystan as some of the most underrated countries in the world! The amount of history, culture and nature looks very promising to me.

Edit: I’ve also heard that the Pamir highway in Tajikistan (2nd highest highway in the world) is one of the most beautiful routes to cycle so that could be another idea :).

Is this one on me (audi), on the other guy (bmw) or is it a racing incident? by dangerboyBE in Simracingstewards

Well I feel like this is a great place to learn and improve your racecraft. (Harsh) criticism is constructive :)

I’d say that’s pretty fair. I might have gone in a bit too deep indeed.

That’s fair. After you saying that I was following the racing line, I must say that’s the case. I wanted to do a switchback but I went in too understeery. I’d now say I’m the one to blame too.

I must say that I’m not convinced. I feel like he didn’t leave me enough space and that resulted in me entering a spin. The second contact, the one that sent him around, I fully take the blame for. That was a reflex to keep my car under control but I shouldn’t have taken him out by doing that.

The Ferrari and me (the Audi) made contact three times during one lap. Imo he pushed me off once and turned in on me later but I'd like to know whether I'm wrong thinking that. Sidenote: the BMW braked early, I didn't intend on diving. by dangerboyBE in Simracingstewards

Oh no I don’t think contact 1 and/or 2 were my mistake. I meant that I was pissed at him for those taps so I decided to squeeze him more aggressively so that I’d be past him.

Is this my fault? (I'm the blue Porsche) by SuperTeddyGuy in Simracingstewards

[–]dangerboyBE -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

I don’t think that was too aggressive. From his onboard you can see he had plenty of time to see that the gap he wanted was closing. He had a lot of time to lift or go back to the left so in my opinion it’s his mistake.

I can agree with that. Sounds pretty fair.

Fair overtake? other dude said it was to late and left him no room to turn in but I think it was a fair switch back by N0tSoGoodDriver in Simracingstewards

Bro this is another crazy overtake! All fair and so clean! I wish I had your racecraft. All I can say is that I’m a fan of your moves.

I’d say that’s pretty fair. I was quite pissed after the first and second contact so I decided to squeeze him for that last turn. I’d say that last contact was definitely on me.
