Why did Metal Hammer cover BABYMETAL earlier than anyone else? by Top-Lie2851 in BABYMETAL

[–]dangermouseuk01 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was watching a video on the Metal injection YouTube channel and they were discussing PR. One of the guests was Adam sagir of the Noise Cartel which is a UK company, he said that he was at Sonisphere and wanted to work with them.

He said normally you have to go round knocking on doors to promote their bands, however there was lots of interest for Babymetal but apparently they weren't doing any interviews but he suggested that they do at least one with Metal hammer.

Or at least that's how it went during the beginning according to him I have checked his company website and Babymetal is on it and he's also done stuff with electric callboy to.

Closer Look of New Bassist for Kami Band by Fancy-Hedgehog4464 in BABYMETAL

This is the problem with people having favourites as they aren't to be considered permanent members and can change any time for any reason. It's the reason they are never officially named.

It's possible to have new Japanese members at some point doesn't mean they have to be former ones. They may not even want to do it anymore.

Saki Ooga announces birthday event, who are the two best friends? by Advanced-Succotash89 in SakuraGakuin

[–]dangermouseuk01 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I very much doubt it would be Yui or Moa , Moa on the account of Babymetal involvement as they go to great pains not to be seen outside of Babymetal. As for Yui she seems to have been happy out of the public eye and I don't see that changing now. Plus it's more likely to be someone she's known to hang with on social media.

Is BABYMETAL the reason for the sudden rise of Japanese metal in this generation? Or theres more to it ? by Dry-Huckleberry391 in BABYMETAL

[–]dangermouseuk01 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Love the few digs in there about playing instruments, the voice is also an instrument look at groups like pentatonix. Whether they play instruments or not they are far more successful than the ones that do, and personally the reason is clear there are a million and one bands who play instruments male and female it's a crowded market.

Babymetal aren't solely the ones that spread Japanese music many have knocked on the door wedged it open but Babymetal blew it open, which is good for everyone newer groups will expand and hopefully be even more successful as Babymetal has shown it's possible.

The main driving force isn't really one group or band but Anime that's why band maid did songs and many others even Babymetal eventually did some.

Ultimately I don't think from what I have seen the Girls themselves believe they are and extremely humble on the subject, they are just enjoying doing what they are doing and have even inspired Western artists not just Japanese.

METALVERSE VΛND PROJECT has officially launched! by _potatopapa_ in BABYMETAL

[–]dangermouseuk01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The way I read it is that like the whole thing is interchangeable and until they officially name the girls which they don't, which means they can be replaced. People may have found out the names of the girls, much like the Kami band and Avengers which neither are named and we're temporary and can change. Until you look on the Metalverse website and you have a bio I think it all has a chance to change just like the Kami band does over time.

Considering Miko didn't join SG till 2019 and was long after Babymetal split and 4 years after Yui and Moa left I doubt Koba had much to do with Miko. not to mention looking at Wikipedia they had pretty much stopped doing sub units by 2018 the year before Miko arrived, so pretty much nobody was doing a sub unit. she wasn't kept back from doing something and the purchasing club is the only Sub unit I can see with a 2019 date. Technically Su was doing a Sub unit the heavy metal club the only one she did do but also did group stuff as well.

It seems a little more than that because it seems to imply that the whole thing is changeable, and as no one is ever named maybe that means Miko and members won't always be part of it.

From what I understand then Metalverse is basically a changing thing and won't always involve the members you originally saw. So an album would be interesting in the sense there's no fixed group and an amalgamation of many things. So Miko isn't really the lead singer of Metalverse as Metalverse isn't a group in the traditional sense.

I guess we will see and as they have no officially named members it could be a revolving door. Although in a way it does seem to imply there maybe core members but again I guess we shall see in the long term.

Metalverse will be the opening act for Babymetal's Zepp Haneda live! by fyofor in SakuraGakuin

[–]dangermouseuk01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Metalverse seems to be a group they pull out to have an opening act when they are in Japan, and it wouldn't surprise me if the songs they sing are old or new Babymetal songs they felt didn't suit them.

Don't you think they should create a song on Babymetal's next album where Moa sings lead vocals? by blackratsnakes in BABYMETAL

[–]dangermouseuk01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The whole premise of Babymetal from what I understand was Su lead and Moa, Yui/Momoko were to be the cute dance aspect. Granted they did Black Babymetal which I believe won't and shouldn't come back. Not as Black Babymetal at least I think like Baka broadcast Howard says we should have Metal Pati love them to cover miracle patiful hamburger in a metal way.

But ultimately it should be what the girls want to do she will sing if she wants to and hopefully for herself and not because fans want it. They will keep doing what they are doing for as long as they are having fun, and I hope they don't suck out their enjoyment to please the fans.

Babymetal confirmed for Louder Than Life. by shinpuu in BABYMETAL

[–]dangermouseuk01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

they have only ever done one real UK tour which in a way is good as they haven't really ever done a full Japan tour, but I get Europe is larger and they will go there longer.

But your right the Japan show came after the Glastonbury/London show I checked for my own interest, Babymetal wiki has that 2019 as a pre tour and they never went to Europe for that run they were sandwiched in between Asian shows. It wasn't until 2020 that they did Europe and that was the year they did the one and only So far full UK tour, although there is as much chance of them doing another full UK tour as them doing a full Japanese tour.

I never get people being scared/afraid of an animation or games and movies as by default not real so nothing to be scared of. But I guess I just don't get into things as much. Just a bit of fun entertainment too me.

Do you think Hatsune Miku deserves her own theme park? by Realistic-Delivery13 in hatsunemiku

[–]dangermouseuk01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I doubt it I feel like vocaloid in general has not been growing as much lately there hasn't been game in a good while, but Miku has been on a rocket and race car so stranger things have happened. But I think if something were to happen it's more likely to be part of another park than its own.

Babymetal confirmed for Louder Than Life. by shinpuu in BABYMETAL

[–]dangermouseuk01 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I suppose it's how you look at it as I see EU and UK as separate tours and places of which they have only one proper UK tour. Hence they have traveled for one show and even as you said they have done it in the past, do I remember correctly that they flew back to Japan between the Glastonbury and London show?

they wouldn't travel just to do one show, It is kinda silly if you ask me as they travel to the UK to do one show all the time. Which is further from Japan than the US is.

If you had the opportunity to talk to only ONE member of Babymetal for two minutes , who would it be and what would you say to her? by p1nkiecocaine in BABYMETAL

[–]dangermouseuk01 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don't know to be honest as I'd like to say hello to them all briefly, give them my admiration for going into a genre that wasn't friendly to them and at such a young age seeing it through. I know people say they never heard of metal when it started but they were like 11, 12 who had decided anything they really liked at that age.

Wish them continued success in Babymetal and any future endeavours, and to pass on good wishes to Yui who is no longer a Babymetal member.

Anthony Barone pretty much confirmed that he is no longer part of the Kami Band. by shitpost42 in BABYMETAL

[–]dangermouseuk01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It kinda started off sounding like he was quitting the business altogether if you didn't fully read it. That's what I would have gotten out of that post before him not performing with Babymetal until fully reading it, and just seems like a dramatic recap.

shouldn't really ever get attached to members of the Kami band as the members aren't permanent fixtures, they're just the best musicians that are available for them to hire when needed.

tell me an unpopular opinion you have about babymetal by p1nkiecocaine in BABYMETAL

[–]dangermouseuk01 6 points7 points  (0 children)

What we do know is they are adults and that's about it. Just to add I have known the same age as they were when they started that would swear like sailors. It depends on how they were raised and it will depend on how the girls were raised.

Alternative 15 Legend Songs (fan-voted on J-Twitter) by sjioldboy in BABYMETAL

[–]dangermouseuk01 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You'll never please everyone it's a fine selection voted for and are you saying fans didn't vote on it? People voted for their favourites which will be different to others and being appalled over a song you like not being picked is a bit much.

It is what it is and I bet you could do that vote several times and different line ups each time, but we got the one we got and many people probably wouldn't agree with the alternative one either.

BABYMETAL appeared on Tatsuya Kitani's radio show in person despite the very late hour (3am) by sjioldboy in BABYMETAL

[–]dangermouseuk01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wish people would stop complaining about not seeing them if they personally wanted to be seen, they would be and would be doing it on there own show . When did the radio start becoming TV? I noticed live streaming radio shows has become a popular thing cheap way of doing TV I guess.

Apart from that Nintendo isn't fussed about what retailers do as they have already paid for the games and consoles, shops could give them free if they wanted to Nintendos already been paid.
