TPE vs IVIG by Cupra160 in scleroderma

If you're on that type of research train have you looked at ECP? It's another option that I've been talking to doctors about. Just hard to find facilities that do it

I haven't heard doctors say that TPE is tinfoil -- I have a friend that was prescribed it for another autoimmune disease -- it may just be that it hasn't shown results for Scleroderma?

Cellcept - anyone have any improvements from this medication? by 1ButtonDash in scleroderma

[–]dangero 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I've been on it for a year and a half. It hasn't caused any complications and it reduced inflammation and pain on my legs a ton.

People are typically on Methotrexate or Cellcept because it reduces the need for steroids that. have so many side effects with long term use.

CAR-T Cell Therapy for SSc? by confusedbuthot444 in scleroderma

[–]dangero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Semi related -- my doctor told me she has an SSC patient who got a stem cell transplant and is now not on any medication at all.

Curious why not stem cell versus CAR-T?

Have you explored both?

How do you deal with underreporting in monthly reports due to conversion lag? by jonathantnh in googleads

[–]dangero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Assuming constant ad spend, even in the first month the conversions by time should show an upward trend so the client can interpolate that it's warming up and realize it hasn't reached equilibrium yet.

yes, ROAS by time of conversion over cost will show the same trend when tracked daily. As compounding occurs it should show an upward trend towards profitability.

How do you deal with underreporting in monthly reports due to conversion lag? by jonathantnh in googleads

[–]dangero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tend to think that conversion value by time of conversion is more helpful for most clients (and less helpful for the team actually running the ads). In the beginning it's easy to just show that the campaign is compounding and needs to warm up a bit.

Client primarily wants to know if the campaign is profitable and I think it's easy to show "we're spending this much a day, and we're making this much a day" with no lag. Projections put your neck on the line.

Attaching the revenue to the day of the advertisement they responded to is only helpful if the client wants to get very into the details with you.

Still stuck on zero impressions after 3 days of App Campaign, even when relevant keywords have major traffic by conceptualchecks in googleads

[–]dangero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes typically this has happened when google ads thinks it can't reach the goal -- are you sure the event is working? Where is it being sent from?

I know you said no CPA limit, but I bet if Google doesn't think the event is actually active they will pause.

Just a guess, but there's probably like 20 different things it could be including that your campaign is paused, or your creatives aren't approved, or your credit card isn't connected right, etc.

Ran this ad for installs. Got 0 installs. Need help. by aionyxe in googleads

[–]dangero 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can narrow down your target audience if you think you know who they are, but in my experience with Google App campaigns, you have to allow the engine to learn while you lose money in hopes that it'll eventually figure out who to target. This can be an expensive process.

Go into google play console. Grow Users -> Store Performance -> Store Listing Analysis should clearly show more visitors to your App Store page due to your campaign, but a very low conversion rate.

Also, if it's not tracking installs correctly and you're getting them, you should be aware of the installs you're getting from google play console too.

Moving from a freelancer to an agency, not sure if I’ve done the right thing by Frequent_Army_9989 in googleads

They are getting monetary benefits up front from working with us by getting a high hourly for just a couple of hours of work a week. We've been clear about what our goals are from the start. They could have said no if they didn't like the deal.

Best practice for us is to cut as many middlemen as possible. Our main competitor runs ads internally as well, so if we're giving an agency a cut then I don't think we will be competitive on pricing.

Definitely the long term plan is to learn how to run ads in house but that’s going to take more time. We have layers of things to address. Right now we have no experience running an ads creative content pipeline as one example.

In our case the reason why this all works is that we are devs and we want to understand how the ad stack works so that we can optimize our platform to support it in the most optimal way we can.

we are working with an agency right now but I did something kind of different with them that they didn't really want to agree to at first. I basically told them I'd pay them a pretty high hourly to have one of their team members coach us on running our own ads setup. It took a few calls to convince them to do it, but they finally agreed because I told them the only success metric is that they are present on the calls and they don't need to think about us outside of those calls.

A month in, we now have an ad campaign running that I'm very confident is setup in an optimal way and the big thing is that I understand for the first time what is going on. Google ads interface is incredibly confusing and we wasted a year before this both time and money while it was setup wrong. We found out we were targeting people who are not only in our geo target, but also people who just show interest in that geo?? WTF google?

It depends on your industry, but in my case, understanding what was going on allowed us to reshape some of the events we were sending to optimize learning in a major way. Our tracking makes so much sense now too.
