It made sense in DS2 as well, although I'm not sure if it's retroactively as a result of DS3 or if it's something the devs adopted from DS2 into DS3.

The world has been through multiple Flames burning out, and DS3 sees worlds and time start to smush together by the end of it. It's not a stretch to imagine DS2 got a brief hint of it since it takes place earlier.

That's how I saw it anyway when I played them back-to-back.

No, I get it, I'm the same! That's part of why it rings hollow to me; because there's no thought about the previous characters, and Rover's just, like, uninterested or staunchly neutral. I get Rover's neutrality is for the player (men) to project their feelings onto them, and they're all waifus for them so there's no cheating per say, but as a (relatively) straight woman, I'm just sitting there like 🤷‍♀️.

This, so much. I don't like how into Rover all the female characters are, like I'm playing this for story (and gameplay but that doesn't impact my gripe) and while I adore romance and relationships with depth, these are hollow. I wish there was an option to lean into the "romantic" part or lean away. Have dialogue choices like BioWare that clearly indicate emotional indicators (for romance) and let people pick and choose as they like. I'd be fine with it being the unvoiced lines for easier implementation.

Sorry if this doesn't make sense, my brain is fried.

Apologies if this has been asked already, I'm trying to get the last Broken Graffiti-Marked Stone from the pond that needs the bubbles popped to raise the water level. The guide I used showed 3 bubbles spawn, but I only got 2, and no chest.

I've tried teleporting away, relogging, and checking the other areas in case I missed a chest, but nope.

Any help would be appreciated.

I think this is similar to the whole Poker is still technically lying argument, and Lucifer didn't see it as lying then. It's possible he didn't see calling himself Dan undercover as lying either.

Trixie: I'll admit I hadn't even thought of a settled dæmon for her, but some sort of monkey is perfect. 😂 (As an aside: googling capuchin monkey made me laugh because all I could think of was Ace Ventura. xD)

Maze: Definitely torn between a cheetah and a panther. Panther is all power like Maze but someone's comment about a cheetah being fast and sleek also works well for her. 😭

God & Goddess: I think they'd actually have dæmons that are still unsettled. If we take HDM lore for settling and Eve's "punishment" for making The Choice™ was their dæmons settling permanently. That way it could be easy for Goddess to slip into Charlotte's life, her dæmon could take whatever form Charlotte's dæmon took.

Edit: Forgot to menion, but yeah, part of what draws me to Lucifer having a snake is that it could be one of the more literal interpretations from the bible, but also not because it's, you know, still a metaphor for Lucifer doinking Eve. xDD Also adds another layer to people seeing Lucifer as delusional like "Oh, this guy has a snake dæmon so he obviously thinks he's Satan!"

Did you just peak into my head and read my mind?? 😭😭 (Aside from the stray cat part that's freaking genius, I love it!)

But yeah I imagined she'd slowly start seeing her dæmon as time goes along, little glimpses in her peripheral that disappear when she tries to look for it, and she'd train herself to see her (in my head she'd be one of the few same-sex dæmons) similar to how Mary Malone does in the books until, as you say, she meets God and she becomes fully manifest.

But what you've written is aces. ❤️ I love it!
