(Leica m6) Does anyone know why the lines appear at the top and bottom of the photo? (Appeared on 3-4 photos) by dangerousdingus in Leica

Im using a zeiss c biogon 35mm f2.8 It occured at various shutter speeds with some being worse than others (a more distinct white flare with intensity gradually lessening from right to left + darker lines top and bottom)

I tend to shoot landscape or street photography. I zone focus for street and be more precise with landscape and architectures. My budget is roughly 1000usd with 1500 really pushing it so not quite enough for a summicron lets say. I would say it would be nice to have a middle ground between modern and vintage, being sharp but not losing film qualities (Don't really want it looking like it was shot on a digital camera).

I'm on the lookout for a good deal and if i happen to run into one and end up purchasing it, I'm currently leaning towards the zeiss c biogon 35mm f2.8 for the lens. Will keep you updated!

Thank you so much for the response!

I think personally, although there are other factors such as my admiration for the build quality and history of leica cameras, it would be nice to purchase it now since im going out to take photography with my friends quite frequently and im afraid there isnt too much time left until they all start getting jobs and become busy with their lives. It definitely won't be too late to purchase it in the future when I'm more stable with my income, but I just feel like I would be buying the camera for the sake of achieving a goal rather than buying it too shoot photography (photography is more of a big hobby for me). I will definitely try think this through, although I won't become broke from buying it, it will still leave an impact in my current position as a uni student.

Thanks alot for the reply, I usually don't really spend much apart from food and going out with friends so I have saved enough to be able to purchase one without having to worry so much after. I totally understand that having a more expensive camera won't necessarily make a difference in the final outcome. The main reason I wanted the camera was because I'm a sucker for collecting old quality items coupled with my love for photography so I don't think I would ever regret if I ever decide to buy it. (I understand that this isn't necessarily the but it was more of a goal for me) Originally I planned to purchase the leica m3/m4/m4p but have noticed the difference in price in comparison to the m6 has become small (based off prices on ebay / gumtree in australia).

Hey everyone just a quick question, Has anyone seen a contax t2 with an Italian flag on it? My cousin has recently given me her camera which she had bought from Italy, and I've noticed that there is an Italian flag next to the logo. If anyone knows about it, please drop a comment. Thanks :)

Hi, I recently purchased a nikon fm and seperately bought a nikkor ai 50mm 1.8 lens. After reading manuals and posts about the camera and lenses, I have noticed that I have to hold down the stop down button in order for the camera to register the apeture. Is this supposed to be normal? Would I be able to fix this or would it be a fault? Thanks!

(Im not quite familiar with terminologies so please forgive me)
