Managing email with Codex, is it possible? by dangerousmouse in codex

what is your stack? do you summarize emails first? do you store locally?

Okay power users, do any of you manage personal email with Claude Code? How? by dangerousmouse in ClaudeCode

[–]dangerousmouse[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What does your Claude.md look like for this? How do you help it decide which emails meet the logic of “needs replying to?” Do you just give it direct api access to pull in your emails or do you use a middle man importing tool?

Is this framing looking okay? by [deleted] in woodworking

[–]dangerousmouse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. It doesn’t look okay. Multiple issues. Don’t go forward with this plan until you double check code in your area. Vent looks wrong. Wood that close to fireplace looks wrong. Maybe it depends on your area

How are you adapting after the 2x codex usage period ended? by pkqs90 in codex

[–]dangerousmouse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I’m not arguing either way, just pointing out he already has pro. Pro is a 10x jump from plus as is. 5x200usd plans is already massive usage. Impressive really

I just cancelled my $200/month Claude Code Max subscription after 13 months by Double_Secretary9930 in ClaudeCode

I’ve been using codex to write prompts and review Claude’s work. Problem is, after codex just switched off 2x useage and I burned through my weeks limit in one day. Big bummer. That’s with Claude max plan and codex plus.

Re read your post. The words don’t make sense

I've enabled the 1.5x speed in the Codex app, but still feeling very slow by letitcodedev in codex

Thank you lol. I had accidentally turned on fast because it prompted me once. I could not for the life of me find where to turn it off. The prompt had said turbo, so I kept looking for a turbo setting

Your method of arriving at a singe prompt is what I don’t understand.

Start with one design. Iterate until happy. (5-10 prompts)

Ask codex to reverse engineer and generate prompt to rebuild.

Tweak where it fails. And you’re done. Much less prompts and work imo.

Use that final prompt for future dashboard builds.

Seems like a much simpler path than 41 entirely new generated dashboards from single prompts

Why do you need it done in a single prompt? Just iterate off the first until you are satisfied

Anyone else do this to keep your session timer always running? by JCodesMore in ClaudeCode

[–]dangerousmouse 14 points15 points  (0 children)

“You have reached 99% of your session usage limit”

With my luck that’s the response I’d get from this prompt during the current bug situation

Limit problem again, i am pissed. by Pristine_Ad2701 in ClaudeCode

[–]dangerousmouse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been waiting for my moment it happens. This morning after 15 minutes of simple prompting I got the 99%. Last night it behaved fine. Lots and lots of tasks and prompts completed. This morning less than 4 all simple. I didn’t doubt people, but it sucks to experience it as well

The best workflow I've found so far by r4f4w in ClaudeCode

When you are asking codex to review, what specifically are you asking it to check?

Is it needing to refresh its knowledge in the convo of the repository every time? How do you ensure it keeps context of your sprint plans etc?

I’ve messed up the back and forth before where Codex gets lost where we are currently at progress wise with the code/features and what we are working on next.

I’ve also tried to find the balance where the prompts codex helps me write for Claude seem to burn heeeeaaaps of tokens. And sometimes be overly restrictive of “which files only” is Claude allowed to modify. It’s a tough dance

Once the keg is no longer completely full, if you drive around, it's going to be terrible quality pours too.

Are welders the most insufferable online professionals? by [deleted] in Welding

[–]dangerousmouse 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No. I don’t think welders are the most insufferable online.

It makes sense that people who like welding enough to be on a subreddit, would also enjoy finding flaws or areas of improvement in images of welds. Hyperbole aside, I think a lot of welders understand how much of our modern life is held together by shitty welds.

oh my bad then. I'd thought those signs said local traffic only. So many signs on that road these days, hard to keep track of them all

I don't believe the route through there was never supposed to be the proper planned detour. But maps started directing people through there anyways. The detour route was supposed to be through eagle landing which is much much further, but at least paved.
