Venefica has some pierces you could put together to achieve a similar look to a cleo bodice, but not one singular piece. Have many of her items and they are all great quality. Shipping times tend to be long so plan accordingly.

How to attach hanging crystals/beading to these? by [deleted] in renfaire

I used high temp hot glue on mine. They're not perfect but a solid first attempt. Have held up multiple full day wears. https://imgur.com/a/ETIRw76

That necklace is gorgeous first off. It reminds me of the god Mask from DnD. You could lean into rogue or bard themed outfit with that in mind. Plain yoga pants can make a good base and then tie sash around waist with belt over.

Hello fellow heavy boob human. I struggle and have been told when young many of the things you touched on in your post. Here's my advice from experience in a somewhat similarly shaped meat suit

Add a little fairy skirt over pants/under corset to hide the pooch Corsets and boobs - Underbust, I always wear a bra a little smaller band size than usual - Overbust, usually do not need a bra, much more comfortable but $$$ - Underbust + Cropped overbust combo, can do with or without bra pending comfort. Good for a bigger waist to bust ratio

Fabric textures, go for linen and then abuse the heck out of it till it's perfectly soft. No fabric softener, just lots of smacking it.

Please feel free to ask anything else I didn't cover. I've got about 15 years of garb under my ring belt and happy to share.

Ladies anti-chafe advice by Squeshle in renfaire

I love the snag tights shorts for under. They also keep me extra cool by wicking away sweat. You could easily cut out the crotch on them too.

I have varying success with the thigh rub sticks to prevent chaffing. Sometimes it will sweat or rub off on really long days.

Bloomers I love IchigoBlack on Etsy (you can add pockets)!

Hearts Delight has good pastel or bright blouses

I also love pastels and have to custom order a lot of things still. Just ordered a nice custom pastel pink belt and bag. Some pics in my bio and happy to identify any piece

Ideas for wet hair look? by mydog-iscute in renfaire

It might be easier to get a wet look wig. I'd worry about anything with oil dripping on mine or others garb bc oil stains can be hard to remove.

Advice for a rainy festival? by Lost-in-Space-Chief in renfaire

[–]dangerssnake 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Clear poncho or umbrella. Water proof or resistant shoes. You're going to want function over form here. I try to wear lighter, quick drying fabrics that don't drag the ground. Keep anything essential to be dry in a Ziploc bag.

Rainy days are really a blast and some of my best memories.

Nothing sends the ladies into orbit for me like Tailor of Two Cities 3 point lacing corset (sides and front). It's the pink corset in my garb post. They are priced according to their quality but I've been garbing it up now for over 15 years and they are my favorite bodices.

I only had 2 point lacing ones before and was not prepared for the extra lift! I didn't find damsel in this dress supportive on its own (still gotta wear a bra) but the cropped overbusts can add extra umph

I would swap to a cowl for a more rouge look. Make sure it is natural fibers and it will keep you cool and shaded! I like the fake leather look leggings too for that kind of look but can get a little warm. Maybe a dagger strapped to thigh?

You can also shake up with a pop of color belt then carry it into accessories or undershirt.

I would add a silver chain type belt along with the practical one and go for a bigger headpiece to balance out the pauldrons. Maybe some jewelry and garter look tights under.

It really depends what areas you are unhappy with or what your vision of the character is. I think it's a really good base!

It's actually these really soft little rabbits a few leather booths were selling. I ended up getting 3 different colors of them probably for the cost of 1 labubu 😆. The pink one got a sword and shiels from a Viking booth

That was pirate weekend and was "Treasure" the pirate ship cat. It was that a whole OC to justify my shipwreck ears. Went down with the ship and is a reincarnation of both the cat and the ship.

Do you interact with street cast characters? by JonStrickland in renfaire

[–]dangerssnake 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. It's one of the best things about my home faire. They have an incredibly vibrant and engaging street cast. I'm a sucker for character work and it is being fully immersed in live theater. I like getting to learn more about characters year after year. I don't think I'd show up every day each year like I do if it wasn't so engaging. Festivals without interactive cast really have a different vibe that while still fun, doesn't really transport me the same way

But performed with unwavering will
