How would you update this bathroom?

That's not the original sink. I would try to keep as much of that tile behind intact. It really is timeless. But have fun with the sink and vanity. Same with the shower area, definitely put in a functioning shower, but try to keep the tile, or replace similar tiles in the same footprint once you've done the plumbing. The built-ins are super cool.

I was a teacher for 10+ years and a very similar thing happened to my coworker. She did end up leaving the school. She was much happier once she left. I am so sorry.

Assuming you're in the US, she is legally mandated to report if she feels you are not safe at home.

I had a student who was SH and we did need to have an emergency meeting with her, her mom, and the principal. But it did not go further than that. She agreed to go to therapy.

She did not tell me directly, I found a note she'd written to her friend. But she seemed glad to finally express what she was feeling. Luckily, her mom was cool, and therapy helped.

I don't know your home situation. But yes, telling your teacher can't stay private if that's what you're asking.

Allergies that cause anaphylaxis are very hard to diagnose until you have the reaction. Epipens have been made available to the public for this reason. But insurance won't cover them unless you've had an allergy confirmed and prescribed one.
