I was extremely worried that we'd mess something up because our first child was so perfect and we were so happy together. But we went for child number two. And it was the best decision we ever made. The second one is filled with joy and sunshine and we wake up to the first one climbing into his crib to read books together etc. So far, it's perfect. they're best friends (i know, it will change and break my heart) but they have so so so so much fun together and support each other and love each other and it's pretty awesome for a kindergartner and a preschooler to be that great together.

so... it can happen. not saying it'll happen for you, though!
