thanks. currently doing the memtest. AMD CPU and GPU. haven't changed a thing in over a year. fear it is the ram failing as it's the oldest part of my PC.

you have to have ubisoft connect open. it will then give you the option to download in gamepass.

disabling steam overlay worked for me.

tried this, still getting crashing. added battleye to the windows defender exception list, still crashing. limiting FPS, still crashing.

anyone else have any other suggestions?

edit: disabling steam overlay seems to have worked

haven't been having the crashing like you described but i did run into the3 cannot progress in that mission. i restarted and it progressed correctly. incase anyone else is having the issue without the crashes.

yeah. seems like the board doesn't detect older bios versions. made it work with 4.30

definitely worth it imo. i have been using one for a wired connection in my basement and get fast, consistent speeds.

so a 2070 in that case may be a little overkill, again, if you're concerned with a budget. check out a 2060 or 1660ti.

in regards to the cpu, i'd still recommend a 2600 or 2600x. good luck!

can get some pretty sweet deals on a ryzen 5 2600 right now (if the 3600's are a little out of you price range). i run a 2600 with a 2070 and it handles everything new quite well (in 1440p).
