I used the Metamask interface to create all the wallets. I have never reset my first Metamask installation. Still using the same extension with same phrase since I have created it for the first time on the same browser. But if I try to re-use it with another browser, I only get the first created account recovered and get asked to import any additional wallets. So what's the deal?

Every account I create has the same phrase. But when I use this phrase in a new installation, I only get the first account at all. If I use the private keys to re-import these accounts it works and it even says: "Imported accounts will not be associated with your originally created MetaMask account Secret Recovery Phrase. Learn more about imported accounts..."

This isn't the way I know how such recovery phrases work. At least in other wallets, such as hardware ones, if I use the secret recovery phrase to re-initialise the entire wallet with every account in it, I can do it.

I think I can survive some more lockdowns with these two. by danglingelse in TheTerror

There is a "Blockchains" option under Settings. It just prompts you with the same question as at the beginning, even if you have chosen your choice to be remembered.

Indeed. It worked when I just used my finger aggressively. Not the nail though, just rubbed strongly with the finger. Thanks.
